## **Parents and Friends of Glenside Association. A.G.M. 7[th] November 2023.**

An A.G.M was, eventually, successfully held at the A.T.C. on Tues. 7[th] Nonember, 2023.

The outgoing Chairperson, Mrs Deirdre Irwin, addressed the meeting. She thanked everyone for coming and expressed the collective delight and relief of all those concerned. It has been an extremely worrying time as previous attempts to hold the AGM had failed due to insufficient numbers turning up. The presence of so many new faces, as well as those who did come before, suggested that the Association could and would survive. She expressed her own thanks to the outgoing office bearers for all their hard work and commitment over the years. She particularly thanked those parents and friends who gave so freely of their time and energy in the past to ensure that the fundraising activities were the successes that they have been. She expressed the thanks of the Association to Mrs Victoria Young and the staff of Glenside ATC and Satellite Unit for their excellent work with and care for all the service users. She wished the new Committee, once elected, every success going forward.

The Secretary’s Report and Treasurer’s Report were read and passed into the record.

A valid election of Committee members and Office Bearers took place, supervised and recorded by Mrs. Victoria Young and the outgoing Secretary, Ms Lucy Browne.

A date was set for the next meeting, and it was agreed by all present that in the meantime, the new office bearers could continue with matters pending in relation to the annual Christmas Draw and provision of Christmas presents for the service users, including those who attend Castlederg Day Centre.

Mrs Irwin closed the meeting.
