The Church was constltuted In January 1998 and contlnues to be Governed by its Constltutlon which was adopted In the samè year. The Church Is an independent Church and has no afflllatlons to any other Church or A550Ciation. The Church does have connections wlth other Reformed Churches on a basis of mutual fellowship and prayerful support. PURPOSE The pilmary function of Magherafelt Reformed Baptlst Church Is to promote the Christlan Faith accordlng to The Word of God, The 81ble. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE The Trustee5 have sought to follow and fulfil the Charlty Commisslon's guldance with regard to the provision of publlc beneflt from and throu8h the Church and arÈ satisfied that we have done this through the varlou5 Church activities. Church Servlo$ On a weekly basis the Church provide5 the opportvnlty for rnembers and vlsltors to meet together on Lord's Day morrbill85 and evenlngs with the primary purpose of worshipping God and to learn more about the Word of God through preaching and teaching. On both mornin8 and evenin& we have on average 25 to 30 people attending. We a150 seek to provide home vlslts to offer support and encouragen*nt to any of our member5 and visitors who are housebound or have medlcal issues which prevent their regular attendance to the services.

Chlldren and Young people We a150 have a foc¥Js on providing bibllcal Instruttlon to young people and chlldren and we do this through our Sunday School and Youth meetlngs Our Sunday Sthool runs from Septemberto June. We have teachers who can work with all age groups. The Youth Club runs from October to May and draws 15 to 20. mainly young teenager5, from the surroundlng area. The church provldes supervised transport to ensu￿ all who need transport are safely pkked up and dropped off at desl8nated stops. The meetlng5 provide various Bames and act￿ltIeS and also the provislon of light ￿freShMents. At the latter part of the meetlng there Is a short message which focuses on some simple bible studle> Study Groups Study groups for both rnet) and women are arranged throughout the year to encourage fellowship and opportunlty to study the Word of God in a home sltvatlon. Mlssionary FODJS A number of special Publlc MeetlnES are held thmu8hout the year where we Invlte dSfferent speakers and Chrlstlan Mlssionarles who speak on a range of biblical toplcs and the development of churches in foreign fields. These meetings are advertised and Invltatlons are posted and dlstrlbuted by hand. A(hlevements and Performan Followlng the end of all restrictions and lockdowns connerted to the covld pandemlc. we estab115hed contact wlth a fulltime student, Adam Rlley, at the Irlsh Baptlst college in Belfast. Adam was keen to visit the chU￿h as he too had a particular Interest In the relormed falth. We invited him to come and preach for us at some of our Sunday services and our Mld-week prayer meetings. Following several vlslts to the church and 8ood Interactlons with our members, we ag￿ed to offer Adam a 51x rnonth flnanclally supported "placement" to give the church an opportunlty to hear him on a consecutlve basis and also have the opportunlty to get to know him on a personal basls. Durlng this period Adam contlnued his studies at the Baptlst College. As a church, without a fulltime postor and in line with our chtjich constltution. we recelved oveisight from an established church in Crawley near Gatwick in the UK. We have had a longstanding relationship with the pastor of Maidenbower Baptlst Church and receive valuable pastoral help and guidance from thelr Pastor and Deacons. As our interest in Adam developed. we aTranged for Adam to spend $5x weeks with the pastor of Maldenbower Baptist church to give opportunlty for further evaluatlon of Adam as a potential pastoral candidate for Ma8herafelt Reformed Baptist Church. Followlng posttlve feedback from this slx week evaluation in Maidenbower Baptist Church. we agreed wlth Adam a further Six month financially supporr°placemenV In our church. Durln8 thls period, Adam and hls wrfe became members of Magherafelt Reforrned Baptlst Church.

We also gave further feedback to Maldenbower Baptist Church and the Pastor of Maldenbower 8aptlst Church a150 Vlslted wkth us durlng our church business meetings as we planned fvrther developrnent5. With each church business meetir& Adam recefved the full 5UPPOrt of the church and was duly nominated for the office of Pastor of MaBherafelt Reformed Baptist Church. Adam accepted the nomination and Is now fully employed by the church as the Pastor. An offlclal ordlnatlon servl¢e for Adam will take place In the church on Frlday 6 December 2023. We are sure that this appointment will further help the development of the varlous mlnlstrles of the church as Ilsted below. The benèfits which come from thls functlon afe the bulldlng up of the Christian Faith of those who attend Magherafelt Reformed Baptlst Church and to provlde sUPPOrt and eDcoufaBement to those who are slck and to those who have difficult personal clrcumstsnces. MRBC holds weekly publlc worshlp serylce5 both momlng and evenln8 on the Lord's Day as well as morning Sunday School Classes for both Adults and Chlldren. There are v￿eklY Prayer Meetings vthich include Devot5onal Blble studles and Times of Prayer. In the winter months the￿ a￿ Youth Meetln8s on Friday evenlngs attended by local children. Supervlsed transport is provided to ensure safe journey5. FINANCIAL REVIEW The church is funded onty by voluntary glfts and donations and makes use of the Gift Aid Seheme. The Church ha5 no Ilabilities or commitments The Church does not hold any Funds as Custodion Trustee on behalf of othets. STATEMENT OF TRUSTEE RESPONSIBIUTIES TheTrustees are respon51ble for preparingthe annual report and the flnanclal statements of the congregatlon in accordance wlth applicable law and generalfy accepted accountlng prattl￿. As the church's total Income does not exceed £250.000. the Trustees have elected under Section 64(31 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 to prepare a recelpts and payment account and a statement of assets and liabilitles. The Trustees are responsiblè for keeping adequate accountlng records that are suffb¢ient to show and explaln the congregatlon's transartions and disclose wlth reasonable accuracy atany time Itsflnanclal position. They are a150 re5POf15ible for safeguarding the assets of the congregatlon and hen￿ for taking reasonable steps for the p￿ventIOn and detection of froud and other irregularities.
