Charity Purposes

1. To maintain and enhance the lives of the community in our area by offering projects that help improve their mental and physical health.

2. To promote the use of our premises, The Acorn Centre to as many people as possible in our area.

## Running of Premises.

Our premises continues to be insured by QBE through Towergate Brokers.

MKB are responsible for the maintenance of our alarms and fire extinguishers.

Maintenance was a big issue this year. DAERA provided funding for 2 new doors. 3 shutters were serviced and upstairs windows in the hall were repaired with new grills put in place to prevent further breakages.

## Activities.

A fundraiser was held in the spring which raised approximately £3000

Mid & East Antrim Council continue to provide grant aid for our events. They gave £700 to support a mental health project. They also gave us a grant of £300 towards the cost of our Public Liability insurance.

Activities continued during the year for senior citizens. Grants from council and NACN provided funding for these projects.

Our premises was used as a polling station for an election in May.

Our group hosted a coffee morning in aid of MacMillan Cancer in October which was a great success.

An Autism group using our premises ceased to operate after the summer break due to lack of volunteers

St Mary’s GA & CC continue to hire part of our premises as a gym which is proving popular.

CRDA walking group continued to operate throughout the year with a solid core group which has increased to 15.
