## Activities

**Purposes:** The Association is established to promote the benefit of children aged between 0 and 12 years in the Mbarara area and its environs in Uganda (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) without distinction of gender, disability, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary and community organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to promote the preservation of health and to relieve poverty and to advance education in the area of benefit and in particular:  a)	to co-operate with any local authority, charity or other organisation in the maintenance of the Holy Innocents Children’s Hospital in Mbarara; and  b)	to provide or assist others in providing health education and medical supplies to the inhabitants of the area of benefit   c)	to maintain the Northern Ireland Charity Care Fund in Uganda to ensure no child is denied treatment at the hospital due to their inability to pay.  d)	To empower, facilitate and mentor hospital staff though education and mentoring.
