Purpose. The trust's purpose Is the provision of 8rants to UK registered charit￿5 who carry out their work in any part of the world. When issuing grants for the year the trustees have gI￿n careful consldefation to the Charity Commisslon for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure that the beneficiarles have helped to achleve the chariVs purposes and provide public benefft. Beneficlary Totsi donations of £20,000 were made in the perlod. th Black Santa- Belfast Cathedral- £ 10.IXK) on 8 January 2021 . £ 10,(X)O on 15th December 2021 "All the money gathered Is donated to local charities with a proportlon glven to Christian Ald. The charities supported are those with an annual income of £150,IKK) or le$5. The 81ack Santa Appeal focuses support for those local charities 8ivin8 SUPPOrt on the front Ilne of the "cost of living crlsls" and also charities working with refu8ee communltles in support of those who have found sanctuary amon8 US, those from Ukralne to Syrla to AfghanSstan. Other charlties supported work in the fields of medlcal research; those carlng for children, youth and the elderly; the improvement of employment opportunitles for young people and a h05t of small charities which cannot afford paid fund-raisers. All the fund5 raised in the days before Chrlstmas are dlstrlbuted to charities at the Good Samarltans, Se￿1￿, held in the Cathedral early in the year followln8 each Sit-out."
