Activities
The Trustees shall stand possessed of the Trust Fund upon trust for the following purposes: (a) The advancement of religion by: (i) The support of work in those Christian denominations or organisations in which the gospel of Jesus Christ is preached, the advancement of His kingdom at home and abroad is sought and the doctrine of the Trinity is adhered to. (ii) The support of Sunday School and youth work within Christian churches. (iii) The support of Christian work in schools, universities, colleges and other places of education. (iv) The support of persons engaged upon courses of study for the work of the Christian ministry, missionary work or other work for the advancement of the Christian church. (v) The support of persons involved in Christian work in Northern Ireland or elsewhere. (b) The relief of poverty by the provision of financial or other assistance for persons in need in Northern Ireland or elsewhere. (c) The advancement of education by: (i) The support of projects and activities in schools, for which public funding is not available in whole or in part provided that such projects and activities shall in the opinion of the trustees be beneficial in the development of character and high moral standards among school children. (ii) The support of youth organisations in activities which in the opinion of the trustees are beneficial in the development of character and high moral standards among young people. (iii) The support of persons engaged in projects, activities or courses which in the opinion of the trustees are beneficial for the development of character and high moral standards. (d) The benefit of the following charitable purposes: (i) The support of community projects for the purpose of alleviating suffering, providing employment and facilities for healthy recreation in Northern Ireland and elsewhere. (ii) The provision of holidays for persons unable to avail of a holiday by reasons of impecuniosity or incapacity. (iii) The prevention of the abuse of alcohol and other drugs by the support of persons or organisations involved in preventing such abuse and the care and support of persons suffering from addiction to alcohol and other drugs. (iv) Such benefit to the community as may be exclusively charitable in nature.
