The Trustees present the annual report for Mone)Thore Congregational Church for the year ended
3 1st December 2023.
Objectives and Activities
The charitable purpose of the Church is to upbold and extend evang¢hcal Christianity consistent
with the Word of God and the Doctrinal Basis of the Congregational Union.
Achievements, Performance and Public Benefit
Thc Church has given careful considcration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's
guidance on public bcnefit to ensure the activities entered into during the year have helpcd to
acm'evc thc Church's objectivcs and activities. as V¥ell providll¥ pubknc bcnefit.

It is thc policj" of the Trustees to invest and reserve funds to gain the best possible return without
putting them at risk.
Our operating income and exp¢ndtture report shoiTrs a small d¢ficit in 2023. A surplus is expected
in 2024.
Going Concern
The Trustee's have reviewed the budgets for the year ahead and are satisfied that there are
adequate funds in place to ensure the Church can continue its activities and the financ￿1
statements for the )'ear ended 2023 can be signed off as a going concern.
Compliance and Public Benefit
The Church has given careful consideration to the Chantv Commission for Northern Ireland's
guidance on public benefit to ensure that actsvities entered into dur￿ the }'ear have helped to
achieve the Church's objectives and actiTrities: as M'ell &$ providing public benefit.
Statement of Trustees, Responsibilities
The trustees are responsible for preparing th¢ Trustees report and statement of receipts and
pairynents and statement of assets and liabl￿'tieS in accordance wTth applicable lam". and regulations.
The laTrN' applicable to charities in Northern Ireland income of less than £250.000 requires
trustees to prepare a statement of receipts and paTrments and a statement of assets and liabilities
for each financial year
The trustecs arc responsible for keeping accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain
the Church's transactions and disclose with accuracv at the time the assets and liabilities of the
Church. Th¢y are also responsibl¢ for safwiarding th¢ assc(s of the Church and hence for
taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
