Objects and actlvltles of the charlty
The purposes of the charfty as set out In Its governing document
ACTS Ministries was established for the advancement of religion and the relief of poverty and
to promote the benefit of disadvantaged people in developing countries without the dlstlnction
of age, gender. disabilitv, sexual orlentatlon, nationallty. ethnSc Identity, polltlcal or religious
opinlon by associatlng the statutory authorities. communlty and voluntsry or8anisations and the
inhabltants in a common effort with the objectlve of improving the conditlon5 of Ilfe for the sald
inhabltants and In particular:
. Support of the charltable work of the Little Hearts Or8anlsation In Indla.
b. To advance educatlon In accordance wlth Chrlstlan principles.
c. The recrultment, selectlon and sendlng Out of volunteers for short term service wlthln the

We exlst to ra15e funds and recelve donatlons for the beneflt of chlldren and adult5 under the
care of Lsttle Hearts Orphanage, Little Buds School, Balwadl Pre-school (South Indlal and Hatvest
Mis51on Workers and Harvest Mlsslon Schools (North India) (see notE5 below).
There are many disadvantaged people In India who need 5UPPOrt and protectlon.
Uttle Hearts Orphanage 51tuated In Panayur, ECR, Chennai. cares for almost 130 children and
adults who have moderate to severe and complex learnlng dlfflcultie5. Chlldren and adults wlth
these dlfficultles are often ne8letted. 50metlmes abused and often abandoned.
Llttle Hearts Qrphana8e provides a carlng envlronment for these vulnerable people.
They are fed and clothed* 8lven physio treatment where needed and medical attention and
cared for by the dedlcated Staff. Not all of the children and adults are orphans some do have
parents, howevEr they often StrUg￿e to care for chlldren wlth these levels of dlsabllltv.
Llttle Hearts Orphanage wlth thelr tralned staff provldes exactly what these vulnerable people
need.
88lwadl Pre-school - thls school 15 based In the Ghandl Nagar slum area of Sholllngonallur. Chennal.
The school draws in dally the local children to prepare them for movlng Into maInst￿ am educatlon
18overnrnent schools) when they have reached the requlred age or Standard. These 51um chlldren
have no basic Ilteracy. There are at present about SO chlldren (aged 2-81 re8lStered and about 25-30
children coming to the pre-school every day. The chlldren are under the supervision of a trained
primary sthool teather and classroom asslstant. The chlldren also enjoy a good meal in the school
before going home.
In addltlon to basic literacy the Pre-school is also homework club where the children from the
the 51um. who are in the government schools. can receive help with their School work. The
teachers in the pre-school also have a social role connectin8 Wlth parents about how their
chlldren are managlng both In govemment schools and In Pre-school.
A Sunday 5chool15 also held In the sch(K)I for all the local children who wish to come.

Harvest Misslon- At our ACTS meetln8 in December 2023 it wa5 agreed that we had completed our
5UPPOrt for Harvest Missions and therefore will be ending support in 2024. The Charity set out to
help Harvest Mission in 2008 and have supported regularly slnce that time but now feel that we have
completed our task. It has been 8 worthwhile partnership wlth HoTvest where we have ass1Sted in
many project5, new classrooms, blcycle5 for workers in remote area5, flood victlm support, funding
boreholes and funds for teacher salarles.
The CEO of Ha￿est was Informed in January 2024 of our decision and wa5 in agreement. We a150
have wrltten tc all the Harvest SUPPQrters to inform them of our decision to cease our fundlng of
Harvest Mlssions and to fTnallse th55 by the 31st March 20241.
There are still some funds In the Harvest account which we wlll send in due Course when the new
bank detalls and FCRA detalls are recelved.
Fundln8- Ail the fund5 raised and donated to Acfs Mlnistrle5 are used for the support of the above
people directly and/or Indlrectly, Iteachers and staff salarles etc,. school unlforms,, bulldlng
maintenance,. etcl.

We have contlnued to support the beneflclaries mentioned above durin8 the year.
The Tru8t8as of the charlty conflrm that they have Gomplied with thelr duty under 88ctlon 416) of the
Charltl88 Act (Northern Ireland) 2022 to have regard to the CCNI'S guld8nce on publlc benef It 8nd that
the publlc beneflt requlrement has informed thé Bctivlties of the ch8rlty In th8 year 8nd8d 5 April 2024.

tor 3 months. As at S Aprll 2024 the charity held £14,363 In reserve5 and thls would be sufflclent
to run the charlty for 3 months based on currert levels of expendlture and also provlde an
amount forcontlngencies.
