There are many disadvantaged people In India who need support and protettlon. Llttle Hearts Orphana8e cares fur almost 130 chlldren and adults who have moderate to severe and complex learnlng dlfficultles. Chlldren and adults wlth these difficulties are often ne8lerted. sometimes abused and often abandoned. Little Hearts Orphanage provides a carin8 environment for these vulnerable people. They a￿ fed and clothed, glven phy510 treatment where needed and medical attentlon and cared for by the dedlcated Staff. Not all of the children and adults are orphans some do have parents, however they often stru88le to care for chlldren wlth these levels of dlsabillty- Little Hearts Orphanage with thelr trained rtaff provldes exactly what these vulnerable people need. uttle Buds School-The school has llow closed and the chlldren are attendln8 the local government school5. 8alw•dl Pre-school - this school Is based In the slum area and draws In the local children to prepare them for movlng to the Little Buds School when they have reached the requlred age or stsndard. These slum children have no baslc Ilteracy. There a￿ at present about 50 Chlldren (aged 2-5) reglstered and about 15-30 children comin8 to the pre-school every day. The children are under the Supervision of a tfdined primary School teacher and cla55room assistant. The chIld￿n a150 enjoy a good meal In the school before going home. In addition to basic literacy the Pre-school is a150 homework club where the children from the the 51um. who are in the government schoo15, can receive help wlth their school work. Harvest Misslons have opened schools in these areas, at present 4 schools wlth about 301>500 pupils In each. Their standard of education is very hlgh which is attractlve to the families. They want to see the children leam and develop and be equipped for life. All the funds ralsed and donated to ACTS Mlnistries are used for the support of the above people dlrectly and/or IndSrettly Iteachers and staff salarles etc; school unlforms,. building maintenance,, etcl.
