The Society has three main sources of income .
Membership Subscriptions
Profits from the annual public Plant Sale
Individual payments, by participants, for garden visits, coach trips and meals
In the 2021122 year, the Society made a surplus of £ 1,553
The Soclety is currently self-financlng and does not receive any public or Local Authority Grants.
Charftable Status
As a registered Charity, the Trustees of Bangor Horticultural Society are aware of its 'Educatlon'
charitable status and consider that the programme of Events, Talks, Visits and provision of help and
information to both its members and the general public, adequately fulfil its 'Educotlon' criteria.
Plannlng Centenary Year Events
The Trustees found that organislng Jolnt vlslts with other slmllar socletles was beneficlal to all
those groups Involved. We would hope, therefore, to follow the same idea next year, but as we

enter our centenary year (3 May 2023), we hope to have many extra actlvlties for members to
enjoy. Here are just a few dates for your diary:"

(a) Festival of Gardening- Friday 5 May through to Sunday 7 May 2023.

(b) Visit to Tatton Park and RHS Brid8ewater, England - 19 to 23 July 2023.
Everyone will recelve a full programme of attivitles.
I would like to thank the whole committee for thelr hard work during the past 12 months and we
will see the frults of their labour during the centenary year.
I would like to thank Jill Montgomery who is stepping down from the committee after many years
of service. If any members would Ilke to join the committee, which meets about four times a year.
please come forward and speak to any of the committee members.
