The trustees delegate the shop and workshop operational management to a charity manager.

HOPE UNWRAPPED Trustees' Annual Report (continued) Year ended 31 May 2025 Objectives and activities The Trustees have given due consideration to the CCNI guidance on public benefit in exercising any powers or duties to which the guidance is relevant. Hope Unwrapped is an organisation whose purposes include ➢ the advancement of religion in promoting the faith of Jesus Christ and spread of His principles as those found in the scriptures ➢ the prevention or relief of those in need or unemployed by providing training in furniture up cycling and repair, essential skills, and social and leisure classes ➢ providing volunteering opportunities, working with others in a workshop and a shop sales environment, in order that we give purposeful activity to those who need assistance to re establish them back into society The organisation carries out this purpose through delivering projects which include ➢ the management of a charity shop and accompanying work space

which supports the teaching of new skills or refresher courses for those seeking entry into the workforce after periods of unemployment ➢ a befriending service accompanies this for those suffering mild to moderate mental ill health, and support services for those who have experienced life trauma or loss. ➢ the work space and charity shop generate funds which are used to support the work of the charity and any surplus generated is donated to other charities. Our funding is mainly raised by the sale of donated items through our shop. 2 HOPE UNWRAPPED Trustees' Annual Report (continued) Year ended 31 May 2025 Achievements and performance Hope Unwrapped has again had great support from the local community in the donation of clothing, bric à-brac and furniture. We also have received small and large electrical items, all of which are tested before resale. These are then sold through our shop which is staffed by volunteers from the local community and the Northern Health and Social Care Trust. The volunteers not only work in the shop but also prepare all the product that goes for sale, making sure it is clean and safe. The Charity provides our volunteers with training to work as part of the team and to make decisions helping to build self confidence, particularly with those suffering from disability and mental health difficulties. We also had some young people with us as part of their Duke of Edinburgh awards. This let them experience working in a team and gives them the skills of working in a shop environment also building their confidence. Our collection and delivery service has proved invaluable, particularly for the larger items of furniture thus helping those who are elderly or unwell. We have provided a rest area within the shop where those coming in can have a cup of tea or coffee, lift a book, have a chat with others, or just take a moment to reflect. Using donated clothing, we held a fundraising fashion show. This was performed to a large audience in the local church hall which has raised the profile of our charity. We were also able to highlight the great need of the persecuted Christian Church with a speaker at this event from Open Doors. This event and the work of the charity shop has helped us to continue our support for the persecuted Church and give significant financial support to the charity. We have continued to advance the Christian faith to all the communities around us. Financial review The results for the year are set out on pages 5-13 The Charity's Reserves Policy is to hold sufficient unrestricted funds to enable continued operation of the shop and workshop despite fluctuations in trading income throughout the year. Plans for future periods We aim to continue the above activities into future periods and will thereby continue to help the disadvantaged and unemployed to re-establish themselves into society and also promote the Christian faith throughout the world by raising funds to support the work of other charities. 3 HOPE UNWRAPPED Trustees' Annual Report (continued) Year ended 31 May 2025 The trustees' annual report was approved on 17 March 2026 and signed on behalf of the board of trustees by:
