OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Our aim is to rescue and rehabilitate stray, unwanted and abandoned cats and dogs.
We take all rehomable dogs from the local council pound and deal with the general
public who wish to surrender their animals.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
In 2024 we took in and re-homed approximately 156 dogs and 223 cats.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Our donations have remained steady throughout the year and into 2025.

BRIGHT EYES ANIMAL SANCTUARY.
I report on the accounts of the above for the year ended 31 $1 December 2024, which
are set out on pages 01 to 05.

As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008. It is my responsibility to..
examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act
follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Commission
under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act
state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

I have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities
Act and my examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions
given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65{9)(b) of the
Charities Act.
My examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking
explanations from you as charity trustees concerning any such matters.
My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me
cause to believe:
1. That accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 63 of the
Charities Act
2. That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records
3. That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities
Act
4. That there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts
to be reached.

Independent examiner's ststement
Since your charity's gross income exceeded £250,000 your examiner must be a
member of a listed body. I can confirm that l am qualified to undertake the
examination because l am a member ACCA which is one of the listed bodies.
I have completed my examination and have no concerns in respect of the matters (1)
to (4) listed above and, in connection with following the Directions of the Charity
Commission for Northern Ireland, I have found no matters that require drawing to your

Policies
Basis of preparing of the financial statements
The financial statements of the charity, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102,
have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting
and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to
charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 01 St
January 2019),. Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and the Charities Act (Northern Ireland)
2008.
Income
All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has
entitlement to the funds.
Expenditure
Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive
obligation committing the charity to the expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of
economic benefits will be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can
be measure reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis.
Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates (20 % ) in order to write off each
asset over its estimated useful life.
