This is mytourth reportlor inclusion in the reportforthe Charty Commigsion Northern Irè18nd. Since my Last report we have actively recruiting into the Branch 8nd aven h8d a potentlal Branch Transfer. Armed Forces Day 2025 was held In Nevrtown8rds vthlch elthough not that far from us only mlnlmal members ofthe Branch were ableto attend dueto It belngthe 8amev4eekend as the Roy81 Neval Assoclatlon Natlonal Conference. A few member8 of th8 Bt8nch also attended the Annual Commemor8tion Service for the Battle ol the Somme on the Sunday nearest the 1" July 25. as usual ItW88 8 wlnd8wept affair with being held at the highest and last visible point that can b8 seen from the shlps and passenger f8rrles as they are leaving B8lf8st Lough- Knockagh Monument-which is what the sailors and troops saw as they were leavin8 to deploy to the front in both World War 1 end World Wor 2. In September the Branch Secret8ry recelved the all clear after completlng hls cancer treatments and he was able to resume his duties as secretary (although still not resume his day job full-tim81 but for continuty purposeg I will contlnue to do this annual report. On Remembrance weekend w8 h8d one memb8r attend an event In Eng18nd for the Bllnd Veteran$ Organisation representin8 Naval Service and assoclatlon. We also had a good turnout at the Annu81 Remembrance Day P8r8de hosted by White8bbey Royal British Legion on the 8fternoon of Remembrance Sunday as well as members attending other seNlces throughout the week- i.e. 8 sm811 service on Remembrance Day itself atthe memorial cairn In the ¢entre ol Ypres Pork hosted bythe Ypres Park Residents. At Christmas a few members 8ttended the Annual Christmas Dinner hosted by Vrfhiteabbey Royal 8ritish Legion Club.
