Under the congregation's governing document, The Code, the book of the constitution and government of the Presbyierian Chuich in Ireland. the Kirk Session seeks to watch ovef and promote the spiritual inlefest of the congregation and of persons not connected with any congregation who are whhin its bound$. It ensures pastoral care is in place in the congregation and seeks to further the ¢onlribulion of the Church to Christian witness and Se￿iCe in the local community. The Kirk Se$sion has delegated to ils Congregational Committee the ternporal affairs of the congregation including administering all funds and propety belonging lo the congregation. Members of the Kirk Session are ex-officio members of the Congregational Committse. The Kirk Session consl¥ts of the ordained minister and the ruling elders of the Congregations. All members are entitled to propose, speak arKI exer¢i$e equal votes at meetings. except that the Mc#Jeralor, the ministers in acllve duty in the congre9ation, has no deliberalive but onty a casting vote. Staled meeting$ of the ￿'1k se5s￿n are held a$ required throughout the year. To be chosen for the offi¢e of the eldership in the congregallon a person must be a voting member and a regular attendant on ils ordinances. The selection of those proposed to be called to the office can be either by the congregation or by the Kirk Se88ion. Members are elecbj if they obtain ￿trIhIld5 of those who vote. Coagh congregation of the Presbyterian Church ha8 been a￿igned to the Tyrone Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. The membership of the Presbylery con$i31$ mainly of the active ministers of congregations assigned lo il by the General Assembly, minsters who have retired from active duty and an elder appointed by the Kirk Session of the congregation. Th• G•n•ral A•••mbly The General Assembty is the supreme court of the Church. representing in one body the whok Church and acting as ils supreme legislative, adminislralion and jud￿101 authorty. in dealing with all matters brought before it. The General Assembly is nomialty constituted during the first week in June for worship and to conduct its business. Al the end of business it is dissolved. Coagh congregation of the Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. The Presbyterian Church in Ireland, as a Reformed Church within the wider body of Chri$l is grounded in the Scriptures, and exists to love and honour God through faith in His Son and by the power of His Spirit, and lo enable her members to play their part in fulfilling God's mission to Our Wofkd. The congregation's mission purpose is, by the grace of God. lo help people of all ages become fully devoted followefs of Jesus Christ. As well as our regular services during the year the Church offers Sacraments of Baptism and marriag8 5ervi¢e$. A$ a Congregation we gave thanks for faithful seNices and sought lo ¢omfort those who had been bereaved during the year. Al 31 December 2025 there were 39 communicant members and 61 families connected with the congregation. The average week attendance at morning worshlp is 45. Pa•toral ¢•ro Members of the congregation who are unable to attend church due lo $ickne$8 or age are visited on a regular basls by the minister, or elders. Ml•slon and outr••¢h Al a local level the congregatlon regularty supports appeals made by Church House. During the year the ngregation supported numerous ¢harrtable organisalions through special ¢olle¢tions and from Church funds. The congregatlon supports the United Appeal for Mission which is a central fvnd of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. This fund enables congregations 10 5UPPOrt the wider mission of the tjenomination and lo do mission and outreach on a denominat￿nal basis beyond what the cong￿4tion could do on rts own. The United Appeal Fund provides financial support for MiSs￿)n personnel al home and ovef$eas, assists congregations with the deployment of Ioc811y based staff, enables chur¢h planling, provides grant support for the upkeep of church premises, assists with the rursning costs of Union Theological College. the Church's training ¢ollege for ministry students, and financialty supports congregation8 in the ar8a8 of worship. discipleship, global mission. outreach, le•Jefship and pastoral ¢are. Proporty The Church Committee continue to provide oversight and maintenance of our suite of buildings to ensure they remain fit for PLbrpose. PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT The Pre8bylerian Church in Ireland meets the public benefit requirement by provKling bènefft lo ils members and the general publi¢ by making known the Chiistian Gospel of Ihe Lord Jesus Chnst through the advancement of reSigion. The direct benefits which flow frcffl the purposes of the Church include the gaining of an understanding in Christian beliefs as sel out in the Bible and in the Church's $ubordinale standards Ilhe Westminster Confession of Faith and the Shorter and Larger Calechismsl18ading lo spiritual and moral development and opportunities for response to Bible lea¢hing. In turn, this framework leads to practical expressions of Christian beliefs and standard8 in the local community such as through the care 01 those in need lin¢luding the sick, disabled and bere8vedl. Generally the above benefits are delivered Irxally by ¢ongregallons and their members, or are facililaled through pre$byleries or are organised and delivered centralty. Lo￿1 delivery is facilitated by central resources in almost all cases. The benefits are demonstrated through regular evaluation of the serrfices and infO￿al and ad-h￿ feedback from members, their families, and members of Ihe public. The purpose does not lead to hami. The onty private benefit flowing from our purpose is related to Ministers, Missionaries, Deacones¥es, Irish Mission wcxkeT8 and Lay Agents who receive benefits as a result of Iheii holding off￿e or employment. However, this is incidental and necessary in ordef to further our charitable purpose. There are no other private benefits. The results for the year are set out on page 9. which the Truslees consider lo be satisfactory. The reserves of the Congregation are held for the advancemenl of ils charitable purpose, other Ih8n resliicted reserves which are hehj for a designated purpose. STATEMENT OF TRUSTEE RESPONSIBILITIES The Trustees are responsible for preparing the annual report and the financial ststements of Ihe congregation in accordance with applicable Law and gonerally accepted accounting praGti¢o. As the congregation's total income does not exceed £250,000, the Trustees have esgcled under Section 6413) of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland} 2008 to prepare a re¢•ipls and payments account and a statement of as$el$ and liabilities. FUND ACCOUNTING Endowment funds are funds, the capital of whKh musl be retained either permanenlty Of al the ￿ngregatIon, discrellon., the income derlved from the endowment is to be used either as restricted or unre5tri¢ted income funds depending upon the purpose for which Ihe endowmenl was established in the first place. Reslricled funds comprise lal income from endowments whi¢h is to be expended onty on the restricted purposes intended by the donor and Ibl revenue donations or grant$ for a specific congregational activity intended by the donor. Where these funds have unspent balances, interest on their pooled investment 18 apportioned lo the individual funds on an average balance basis. These Herrtage assets are not included in the statement of assets and liabilities as information on the ¢osl or valuation is not available and such infomiation cannot be obtained at a c05t ¢ommensurate with the benefrt to the users of the accounts and lo the parish. The Manse, Manse Land and Church Hall have been (ecognised on values which the Twslees deem lo represent the estimated fair value of the propety at 1 January 2017.
