the provisions in The Charldes (Atcounts and Reports Regulatlons {Northern Ireland) 2015 to prepare Its accounts
on a receipts and payments basls.
FUND ACCOUNTING
Endoment funds are funds, the capltal of which must be retalned either permanently or at the congregatlDn's
dls¢retion- the income derived from the endowment is to be used either as restricted or unrestrlcted income
funds depending upon the purpose for which endowment was established Sn the first place.
Restrfrted funds comprise lal income from endowments which is to be expended only on the re5trirted purp05es
intended by the donor and Ibl revenue donations or grants for a specific congregatsonal artivity Intended by the
donor. Where these funds have unspent balances, interest on their pooled Investment is Jpportioned to the
indivldual funds on an average balance basls.
Unrestricted fund5 are Income funds whieh Ère to be spent on the congregation's general purposes. Designated
funds are general fund5 Set aside by the con8reEatlon for use in the future.
