The directors present their annual report and financial statements for the year erKled 31 March 2025.
Structure. governance and management
Mid Ulster Community servI￿s TIA (Xjt & About Community Transport -out and About. was first established In
1999 as a Company Limited by Guarantee No. Nl 36635 govemed by its Memorandum and Artides of Assoaation
under Companies (Northern Ireland) Order 1986 on 26th July 1999.
The organisation is a company limited by guarantee and does not have share capital. The company is a registered
charity with Ihe Nl Charities Commission from the 15 Decefflber 2015 (charity number: NIC 105666).
The company was established under a Memorandum and Artides ofAssociation, which estsblished the objects and
powers of the charitable company. and is governed under its Artides ofAssociation.
Mid Ulster Community Services Ltd has a cross-community focus and is managed by the trustees (directors for
company law purposes) who are elected annually.
The appointment of trustees is in accordance with the charity's Articles of Association. whereby each member will
be entitled to nominate one person only in writing not less than seven days before dale of the Annual General
Mèeting.

1. To provide relief to the inhabitants of Norlhem Ireland so that people who are disadvantag8d because of age,
mental or physical disability. sickness, povety. financial hardship or rural isolation have access to affordable
transport provided by the local communty wherè thore is a lack of conventional public or private transport or where
such transport is unsuited lo the particular needs of the above benefficiaries by..
a) providing and maintsining non-profft community transport services., and
b) assisting other community organisations engage(J in lookbng after the needs of beneficiaries such as those listed
above can also benefit by accessing the services and vehiC￿S controlled by Mid Ulster Community SeNices.
Achlevements and perfomiance
During the reporting period the organisation carried out its operations under the followng categories:

2. Out of Area Transport
3. Group Hire

Flnanclal Review
The results for the year are set out on page 8. These and the financial position at the year eNI were considered
satisfactory by the directors. Funding was received (Juring the year to continue the Whools to Health project. This
is a 5 year project funded by the Lottery, which started in July 2023. Funding also continued in the year for the
Motability project. This is a 3 year project vthich again stsrted in July 2023. Funding is received up front for the
annual delivery of th8 project. The projects run from July 2024 to June 2025 and the balance of funds received in
this finanaal year will be spent in April. May and June 2025.
The directors will conduct annual revie¥NE of the appropriate level of unrestricted reserves. The PUTwse of this
reserve is to provide 51ability for the charity to ensure that it is able to honour existing contractual obligations, to
upgrade existing capital equipment, to cover unforeseen events beyond the companYs control and to enable it to
continue its operations in the unlikety event of a signrficant fluctuation in expenditure or income. The board has an
ongoing programme of capital replacement due to high maintenance and running costs.
The committee aim to build reserves to at least 3 months of annual expenditure, to meet ffinanaal commitments.
This may be achieved by increasing eamed income or reducing expenditure. The present level of reserves available
the charity is £271,932 and this is considered satisfactory. The committee have also decided to designate funds
for capital expenditu￿, as its fleet ages and needs to be replaced.
Auditor
Davld Lyttle + Co Ltd were appointed as auditor lo the company and in accordan￿ seCt￿n 485 of the
Companies Act 2006, a resolution proposing that they be re-appointed will be put at a General Meeting.
Statemenl of dlsclosurè to audltor
So far as each person who was a director at the date of appromng this report is aware. there is no relevant audll
information of which the company's auditor is unaware. Additionally, the directors individually have taken all the
necessary steps that they ought to have taken as directors in order to make themselves aware of all relevant audit
information and to establish that the cornpanrfs auditor is aware of that information.

Company law requires the directors to prepare finanaal statements for each financial year. Under that law the
directors have elected lo prepare the financial statements in accordance wth United Kingdom Generally Accepted
Accounting Practice (Unrted Kingdom A¢￿untIng Standards and applicable lawl. Under company law, the directors
must not approve the financial statements unless théy are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of
affairs of the c£)mpany and of the surplus or deficit of the ￿)MpanY for that period.
In preparing these financial statements, the directors are required to..
select suilable accounting pollcies and then ap￿Y them consistently;
make judgements and accounting estimates that are reasonable and prudent" and
prepare the financial statements on the going conc8m basis unless it is inappropriate to prèsume that the
company wll continue in business.
The directors are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the
company's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the company
and enable them to ensure that the financial ststements comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also
responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention
and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

that the audr( evidence we have obtained is sufficient and appropriate to provide a basis for our opinion.
Material uncertatnty related to going concern
We draw attention to Note 1.2 in the financial ststemenls, which indicates that the company has not achieved its
core funding for the next financial year. As staled in Note 1.2. these evenls or conditions. along with other matters
as set forth in Note 1.2, indicat& that a material uncertainty exists that may cast significant doubt on the company's
ability to continue as a going concem.
Our opinion is not modtfied in resp8Ct of this matter.
In auditing the financial statements. we have concluded that the directors. use of the going con￿rn basis of

Company infom)ation
Mid U15t8r Community Services Limited is a private company limited by guarantee incorporated in Northem
Ireland. The registered office is Unit 15, Station Road Industrial Estate, Magherafelt, BT45 5EY.
1.1 Accounllng convenllon
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance Accounting and Reporting by Charities..
Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 1021 effective 1 January
20151- (Charities SORP {FRS 102)), the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of
Ireland (FRS 102) and the Companies Act 2006.
Mid Ulsler Communty Services Ltd meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and
liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost and transaction value unless othewse staled in the relevant
accounlancy policy note{s). The financial statements are prepared on a going concem basis.
12 Going Concom
The company meets its day to day running costs via a revenue grant from the Department of Infrastructure.
This granl is nomally made for a 12 month perii)d and guarantees funding for that period. Ai ihe date of
approving the accounts. the company have only received a letter of offer from the Department for funding to
30 June 2025. There has been no letter of offer of funding from the Department regarding the rest of the next
financial year. This creates a material uncertainty over the ability of the (￿MpanY to continue as a going
concern.
The Trustees are in conslant contact wth the Department and have no reason to believe that funding will not
be achieved. In the interim the Trustees have sought new sources of funding and started a process of cost
reductions to ensure that the company can conb'nue as a going concem.
At the time of approving the financial statements, the directors have a reasonable expectation that the
company has adequate reSoUr￿S to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable futur8. Thus the
directors conlinue to adopt the going concem basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.
1.3 Fund accountlng
Unrestrided funds are available for use at the discretion of the directors in furtheran￿ of the general
objectives of the charity. In addition to expendf(ure on transport provision. such funds may be held in order to
finance capital investment and working capital. Designated funds relate to funds set aside for a specific
purpose, in this case future capitsl investrnenL
Restricted funds are subjected to restrictions on their expendiiure imposed by the provider of the fvnds.
Endowment funds which comprise of unrestricted funds Ihat have been set aside by the Directors for
particular pU￿oses. The aim and usa of each designated fund is set out in the notes to the financial
statements.
1.4 Tanglble flxed assets
Tangible fixed assels are initially measured at cost and subsequenuy measured at cost or valuation, net of
depreciation and any impairment losses.

1.5 Cash and cash equlvalents
Cash and cash 8quivalents are basic financial assets and include cash in hand, deposits held at Call wtth
banks, other short-tern liquid investrnents with original maturities of three months or 18ss. and bank
overdrafts. Bank overdrafts are shovm within borrowings in current Ilabilities.
1.6 Flnanclal Instruments
The company has elected to apply the provisions of Section 11 'Basic Financial Instruments, and Section 12
'Other Financial Instruments Issues, of FRS 102 to all of its financial instruments.
Financial instruments are recognised in the companls balance sheet wthen the company becomes party to
the contractual provisions of the instrum8nL
Financial assets and liabiltlies are offset, wf(h the net amounts presented in the financial ststemenls. when
there is a legally enforceable right to set off the recognised amounts and there is an intention to settle on a
net basis or to realise the assel and settle the liability simultaneously.
Baslc flnancial assets
Basic finaneial assets. which indude debtors and cash and bank balances. are initially measured al
transaction price induding transaction costs and are subsequently carried at amortised cost using the
effective interest method unless Ihe arrangement constitutes a financing transaclion, where the transaction is
measured at the present value of the future receipts discounted at a markel rate of inte￿$1. Financial assets
dassified as receivable within one year are not amorlised.
Classffl¢atlon of flnancial liabilities
Financial liabilities and equity instruments are dassified accordlng to the substance of the contractual
arrangem6nts entered into. An equty instrument is any contract that evidences a residual interest in the
assets of the eA)mpany after deducting all of its liabililres.
Baslc flnonclal Ilabllltles
Basic financial liabilities, indudirwJ creditors, bank loans. loans from fellow group companies and preference
shares that are dassified as debt. are initially recognised at transaction price unless the arrangemenl
nstitutes a financing transaction. where Ihe debt instrument is measured at the present value of the future
payments discounted at a market rate of interest. Financial liabilities classified as payable within one year are
not amortised.
Debt instruments are subsequently carried at amortlsed cosL using the effective interest rate method.
Trade creditors are obligations to pay for goods or services that have been acquired in the ordinary course of
business from suppliers. Amounts payable are classified as current liabilities if payment is due within one year
or less. If noL they are presented as non-current liabilities. Trade creditors are recognised initially at
transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost u&ng the effeclive interest method.
Changes in the fair value of derivatives that are designated and qualtfy as fair value hedges are recognised in
profit or loss immediately, together with any changes in the fair value of the hedged asset or liabilty that are
attributable to the hedged risk.

1.7 Employee benefits
The costs of short-term employee benefits are recognised as a Ilability and an expense, unless those costs
are required to be recognised as part of the cost of stod( or fixed assets.
The cost of any unused holiday entitlement is recognised in the perth in which the employee's services are
received.
Temiination benefits are recognised immediatety as an expense when the company is demonstrably
committed to 18rninate the employment of an employee or to provide temiination benefits.
1.8 Retirement benefits
Payments to defined contribution relirement benefit schemes are charged as an expénse as they fall due.
1.9 Leases
Leases ar8 classified as finance leases whenever the terms of the lease transfer subslantially all th8 risks and
rewards of ownership to the lessees. All other leases are classffied as operating leases.
Assets h81d under finance leases are recognised as assets at the lower of the assets fair value at the date of
In￿ptIOn and the present value of the minimum lease payments. The related liability is inctuded in the
balance sheet as a finance lease obligation. Lease payments are treated as consisling of capilal and interest
elements. The interest is charged to profrt or loss so as to produce a constant periodic rate of interest on the
remaining balance of the liabilty.
1.10 Government grants
Govemment grants are recognised at the fair value of the asset received or receivable when there is
reasonable assurance that the grant conditions will be met and the grants will be received.
A grant that spectfies perfO￿anCe conditions is recTr3nised in income when the performance conditions are
met. Where a granl does not speufy Performan￿ conditions it is recognised in income when the prO￿e￿$
are received or receivable. A grant received before the recognition criteria are satisfied is recognised as a
