BASIS OF FINANCIAL SfATEmEP￿S
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting
by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to d)arities preparing their
accounts in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Ireland
(FRS102) (effective l January 20151.
The finandal statements have been prepared under the historlcal cost convention except for
investment assets. which are shown at market value. The finanoal statements indude all
transactions, assets and liabilities for which the congregation is responsible in law. They do
not indude the accounts of church 8roups that owe their affiliation to another body. nor
those that are Informal gatherlngs of thurch members.

Endowment funds are funds, the capital of which must be retslned either perrnjnent￿ or at the
congregation's discretion; the income derived from the endowrnent is to be used either as restricted
or unrestricted incorne funds dependlng upon the purpose for vthKh the endowment Was estsb115hed

restrlrted purposes intended by the donor and {bl revenue donations or grants for a specifK

Designated funds are general funds set aside by the congregation for use in the future.
