srRUCTURE AND MANAGEMENT
The Klrk Sesslon
The charity trustees of the congregation are the members of its Kirk Se$5ion. Under the congregation's
governin8 document, The Code, the book of the constitution and government of the Presbyterian
Church in Ireland, the Kirk Session seeks to watch over and promote the spiritual interest of the
congregation and of persons not connected with any con8re8ation who are withln its bounds. It ensures
pastoral care is in place in the congre8atlon and Seeks to further the contribution of the Church to
Christian witness and service in the local communrty. The Kirk Session has delegated to its
Con8re8ational Committee the temporal affairs of the congregatlon including administering all funds
and property belonging to the con8regation. Members of the Kirk Session are ex-ofpicio members of the
Con8regatlonal Committee.
The Klrk Session consists of the ordained mlnister and the ruling elders of the con8re8ation. All
members are entltled to propose, speak and exercise equal votes at meetings. except thot the
Moderator, the minister in active duty in the ¢ongregation, has no deliberative but only a casting Vote.
Stated meetlngs of the Kirk sesslon are held at least four times each year. or as approprlate.
To be chosen for the office of the elder5hip in the congregation a person must be a voting member and
a regular attendant at its ordinances. The selectlon of those proposed to be called to the office can be
either by the congregation or by the Kirk Sesslon. Members are elerted If they obtain two-thlrds of
those who vote.
Presbytery
Under the Presbyterian Church in Ireland form of governance the corporate oversight of a congre8atlon
is the responsibility of a Presbytery which superintends generally the spiritual and temporal affairs of
the congregations assigned to it by the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
Glenhoy con8regation of the Presbyterian Church has been assigned to the Omagh Presbytery of the
Presbyterian Church in Ireland. The membership of the Presbytery consists mainly of the active
minlsters of congre8ations assigned to it by the General Assembly, ministers who have retired from
active duty and an elder appointed by the Kirk Session of the congregation.

The General Assembly
The General Assembly is the supreme court of the Church, representin8 In one body the whole Church
and atting 35 its supreme legislative, administration and judicial authority. in dealing Wlth all matters
brought before it. The General Assembly is normally constttuted during the third week in June for
worshlp and to conduct its business. At the end of business it is dissolved. The membership of the
General Assembly consists mainly of the active minlsters of each congregation. retired mlnisters and a
representative elder appolnted by the Kirk Se$5i0n of each congregation.
OESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE
The charitable purpose of the congregation is the advancement of the Christian falth.
Glenhoy congregation of the Pre5byterlan Church is a con8regation of the Presbyterian Church in
Ireland. The Presbyterian Church In Ireland, as a Reformed Church within the wider body of Chrlst 15
8rounded in the Scriptures, and exists to love and honour God through faith in His Son and by the power
of HIS Spirit. and to enable her members to play their part in fulfillin8 God's mission to our world.
The congregation's mlsslon purposes Is, by the Brace of God. to help people of all a8es become fully
devoted follower5 of Jesus Chrlst. Our ￿510n is by the 8race of God. to be an Inclusive, welcomln8
communlty of Christ's people of all a8es, which:
Is increasingly characterised by love for God, and love and concern for others,.

As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, we believe that the Bible is the supreme
authority over all we do, and that the Westminster Confession of Faith, along wtth the Larger and
Shorter Catechisms set out what we understand the Bible teaches on key matters of Christian faith
and practice.

ACTIVITIES AND OBJEcfivES
The congregation meets for worship every Sunday and visitors are welcome to join. The Sacrament of
the Lord's Supper is observed on several occasions durin8 the year and all those who have been
baptised and who have made a profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are admitted to the Lord's
Supper. The congregation holds weekly bible study meetings and has a wide range of organisations
including:

other services such as Girls, Brigade and Guides)
Joint Youth Club with Clogher PC

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
Worshlp and prayer
The congregatlon normally meets for worship each Sunday at 10:45am and at other tlmes for speclal
occaslons. During the week the Bible Study provides an opportunity for members to meet tO8ether for
fellowship, to study the scriptures and for a time of prayer.
As well as our re8ular services durin8 the year we condurted 2 marrlage servlces and sought to comfort
those who had been bereaved durin8the year. There were no baptisms in 2025.
At 31 December 2025 there were 72 communicant members and 61 families connerted with the
congre8atlon. The average weekly attendance at mornin8 worship is 57.
Pastoral care
Members of the congre8ation who are unable to attend church due to sickness or age are vislted on
regular basis by the minister. elders or by a member of the PW.
Mlsslon and outreach
At a local level the congregation has a focus on the surroundin& rural area, which is farmlng orientated
and to the lotal village of Augher. The congregation'5 worship services are open to all members of the
community and members visit other local congre8ations to support and encourage them in their work.

Our vision is for outreach to those in the local communty, through casual contact and other ways. In
May 2025 we partnered with Ambassadors Football to host a Community Football Outreach In Augher
which had football teams from several Primary Schoo15 in the area competin8 a8ainst one another. At
half_time a member of Ambassadors Football then gave a short gospel talk. Then. in September 2025,
we held a week long Gospel Mission in a marquee on a site in the centre of Augher. Members of the
congregation were able to invite family member5, friends and neighbour5 from the community to
attend. As a result it was well attended by many people not connected to Glenhoy PC. Other outreach
events are bein8 planned for the future.
Through Sunday School, Youth Fellowship and the Mid-week Bible Study we seek to disciple those
within our congregation. Through the Youth Club. Youth Fellowship and T&3 we seek to en8a8e with
people from the wider community who attend these 8roup5.
As a congregation we support a varlety of missions through the annual Unlted Appeal for Mlsslon which
is a ¢entral fund of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. This fund enables congregations to support the
wider mission of the denomination and to do misslon and outreach on a denominational basis beyond
what the congregatlon could do on its own. The United Appeal Fund provldes finantlal support for
mission personnel at home and overseas, assists congregations with the deployment of locally based
staff, enables church plantin& provides grant support for the upkeep of church premises. asslsts wlth
the running costs of Unlon Theological College, the Church's training colle8e for ministry Students. and
financially supports congre8ation ID the areas of worship, discipleship. global mlsslon, outreach.
leadership and pastoral care.
Beyond the United Appeal for Mission we provide financial and prayerful support to a number of other
charitable groups. During the year the congregation donated to the followlng external mis51ons and

The tongregation supports the United Appeal for Mi55ion which is a central fund of the Presbyterian
Church in Ireland. This fund enables congregations to support the wider mission of the denomination
and to do mission and outreach on a denominational basis beyond what the congregation could do on
Its own. The United Appeal Fund provides financial support for mission personnel at home and overseas,
asslsts congregations Wlth the deployment of locally based staff, enables church plantin& provides grant
support for the upkeep of church premises. assists with the running costs of Union Theological College,
the Church's training college for rnini5try students. and financially supports congregations in the areas of
worship. discipleshlp, global mlsslon, outreach, leadership and pastoral care. The congregation also
contributes to the denomination5 annual World Development Appeal, Sunday School project and anv
other speclal appeals.
Presbytery
The congregation is represented at the regular meetings of Presbytery by our minister and l or one of
the elders. Thls provldes an important link between the con8re8ations and the wider structures of the
church.
General Assembly
The minister and one of our elders were nominated to attend the meetin8 of the General Assembly of
the Presbyterian Church In Ireland held in Assembly Buildings. Belfast. normally In June.
Property
Organlsatlons
- Sunday School and Blble Class
The Sunday School and Blble Class meet each Sabbath at 12 noon after morning service to instruct and
explain the truths and meaning of the scriptures and catechism. There are 10 children in Sunday
School and Currently two teenagers in Bible Class.
The PW usually meet 6 times over the winter season using material supplied by the Presbyterian
Church in Ireland for approximately half of the meetings and have guest speakers on other occasions,
speaking on missionary and tharitable matter5. Attendance at meetings varies from 16 - 20. Over
£2,000 was donated to missionary work of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland and £250 to Peter
Rogers.

Youth Fellowshlp
Youth Fellowship meets on the 2 and 4th Friday of each month, unless otherwise stated, mostly in
Clogher PC Church Hall as this is a joint venture. The Youth Fellowship is open to young people from
both congregations and the wider community in the age cate80ry P7 upwards. Glenhoy PC currentlv
has 2 young people attending with 2 volunteers assisting. A varied and interesting programme Is
followed, which includes a bible study. for the youn8 people to famillarlse themselves with God's
word. Average attendance Is 15 to 20, with approximately 50% of those being youn8 people not
connerted to either CIo8her or Glenhoy.
- Youth Club
Youth Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month. unless otherwise stated, In CIo8her PC
Church Hall. as it Is a joint venture. The Youth Club is open to children of both congregations and the
wider communlty in the age category of Pl to P7 school years. Glenhoy currently has 5 children
attendln8 and 8 young adults participating a5 leaders. The pro8ramme includes activities such as
games, craft. tuck Shop and bible based teaching. Average attendance is 30 to 35, with over 70% of
those being children not connected to either Clogher and Glenhoy.
-T&3
T&3 meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month, unless otherwise stated, In Clogher PC Church Hall. It
15 open to senlor citizens from both congregations and the wider community. The programme includes
activitles such as a tropical talk and craft. Attendees also enjoy fellowship and refreshments.
Volunteers
The Trustees wish to acknowledge their deep appreciatlon of those who give freely of thelr time bv
serving on committees and helping with organisations and other church activities.

PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT
The Presbyterian Church in Ireland meets the public benefrt requirement by providing benefit to its
members and the general public by making known the Christian Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ through
the advancement of religion.
The direct benefit5 which flow from the purposes of the Church include the gaining of an understandlng
in Christian beliefs as set out in the Bible and in the Church's subordinate standards Ithe Westminster
Confession of Faith and the Shorter and Larger Catechisms) leading to spiritual and moral development
and opportunities for response to Bible teaching. In turn, this framework lead5 to practical expressions
of Chrlstian beliefs and standards In the local community such as throu8h the care of those in need
{Includlng the slck, disabled and bereaved).
Generally the above beneflts are dellvered locally by con8re8ations and their members, or are facllitated
through presbyteries or are organised and delivered centrally. Local delivery is facilitated by central
resources In almost all cases. Public access is made known through the use of notlce boards, printed
material, press advertisement. websites. and social media or in other ways.
The beneflts are demonstrated through regular evaluation of the 5ervice5 and inforrnal and ad-hoc
feedback from members, their familie5, and members of the public.
The purpose does not lead to hami. The only private benefit flowlng from our purpose Is related to
Ministers, Missionaries, Deaconesses, Irish Mission workers and Lay Agents who receive benefits as a
result of their holding office or employment. However. this is incidental and necessary in order to
further our charitable purpose. There are no other private benefits. The beneficiaries of this purpose are
members, their families. other individuals that the Presbyterian Church In Ireland is In dlrert and indirect
contact with, the community in which pastoral services are provided and other communities throughout
Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland. and worldwide which benefit from our engagement with and
stspport for both Christian and other secular organisations, charities and individual members of the
public.
The Kirk Session has had regard to the Chartty Commissions Public benefit requirement statutory
guidance.

FINANCIAL REVIEW
The congregation's main source of income is members, contributions through the Weekly Freewill
Offering. There were 71 contributors during the year 12024.. 731 donating a total of £30.45412024:
£28,846).
Total income of the congregation during the year was £68,511 compared to £67,568 in the previou5
year.
Total expenditure Increased from £53.605 to £56.107 in the current year.
STATEMEKf OF TRUSTEE RESPONSIBIUTIES
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the annual report and the flnancial statements of the
congregation in accordance with applicable law and generally accepted accounting prartlce.
As the congregatlon's total Income does not exceed £250,LK)O, the Trustees have elected under Section
64131 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2(M)8 to prepare a Receipts and Payment Account and a
Statement of Assets and Liabilities.
The Trustees are responsible for keepin8 adequate accountin8 records that are suffl¢ient to show and
explain the con8re8ation's transattions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time its financlal
position. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the con8re8atlon and hence for takin8
reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

BASIS OF FINANCIAL sfATEMENTS
As the totsl income of the congregation is less than £250.￿ the congregatlon have elected in accordance with
the provision5 in The Charities (Accounts and Reports Regulations INortheTn Irelandl 2015 to Prepa￿ its accounts
on a receipt5 and payments basis.
FUND ACCOUNTING
Endowment funds are funds, the capital of whkh must be retained either permanentty or at the congre8ation's
dSscretlon,' the Income derived from the endowment is to be used either as restricted or unrestrScted income
fund5 dependlng upon the purpose for which the endowment was establlshed in the first place.
RestrScted funds comprise lal income from endowment5 which is to be expended only on the restrlcted purposes
intendeil by the donor and Ibl revenue donations or grants for a specific congreBational actlvlty Intended by the
donor. Where these funds have unspent balènces, interest on their pooled investment is apportSoned to the
Individual funds on an average balance basis.
