ACCOUNTING POLICIES
BASIS OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
As the total income of the congregatlon 15 less than £250,000 the congregation have elected in accordance wlth the provlslon5 in The
Charities (Accounts and Reports Regulations (Northern Irelandl 2015 to prepare Its accounts on a recelpts and payments basls.
FUND ACCOUNTING
Endowment funds are funds, the capital of whlch must be retained either permanently or at the congregatlon's discretlon. the income
derived f rom the endowment Is to be used either as re5trlcted or unrestrlcted income funds dependlng upon the purpose for whlch the
endowment was establlshed in the flrst place.
Restricted funds comprise lal Income from endowments whlch Is to be expended only on the restrScted purpose5 Intended by the donor and
Ibl revenue donations or grants for a speclfic congregational activity intended by the donor. Where these funds have unspent balances.
interest on thelr pooled Investment Is apportloned to the indivldual funds on an average balance basls.
Unrestrlcted funds are income funds whlch are to be spent on the congregatlon's general purpose5.
Deslgnated funds are general funds set aside by the congregatlon for use In the future.
