The Francis McPeake School of Arts Ltd Trustee Report 2024-25

Charity Commission No - 105558

Charity Number- XR80364

The charitable purposes of the Francis McPeake School of Arts is the advancement of education, the arts and heritage. Which enables pupils to maintain and improve personal artistic standards through their chosen art form, aspire to excellence, and provides our students with opportunities for self-development and growth. This is achieved via educational arts services provided at a local level, the development of professional and amateur productions, showcasing live performances at a national level, the creation of media content, the encouragement of high standards in the arts including music, drama and cinema as well as heritage focused arts such as traditional music and dance. The educational value of such activities being demonstrated by pupils progression, taking into account each students individual aims, talents and abilities whilst working towards industry standard goals and targets, further demonstrated by the inclusion of pupils’ work in film festivals or for broadcast, which is further validated by the vetting process of recognised external organisations. There is no private benefit flowing from these purposes.

We submitted several applications to various funding bodies in order to facilitate various projects and to deliver them to a wider audience. However we were unsuccessful in obtaining funding, which prevented the charity from rolling out its programme for 2024 - 2025 in various projects such as filming and performing arts. Therefore the company has a current status of Dormant as we have not received any money to facilitate these projects as our accounts will demonstrate.

The Urban Arts Centre changed its name through the appropriate official channels on 24 February 2025 to The Francis McPeake School of Arts Ltd. We were also able to obtain some new volunteers for the organisation to help with the day to day running of the charity as we had envisioned in the previous financial year. We had planned various fundraising ideas such a Sponsored Walk and a Easter Raffle, Summer Barbeque, Theme Nights throughout 2024-25, however due to Social Distancing and other restrictions on Community Gatherings regarding Covid-19, we offered these events free of charge and did not make any profit for the organisation, leaving us remaining in a dormant status

We hope to obtain funding for the upcoming year by submitting grant proposals to help enable and facilitate the various projects of the Francis McPeake School of Arts for 2025-26.

Signed
