The Company's objects are.. i. The relief of financial hardships. To increase employmei
opportunib'es in the town of Dromore and its natural hinleAand by the active parb'cipalion of the
company in job creation and in slimulalion, promotion and ¢realion of a favourable environment
for the adv8ncemenl of education, additional job opportunities and new enterprises in the area.
ii. To promote the benefit of the inhabitsnts of the area without distinction of sex or of political,
religious or other opinions by assoeiats'ng governmental agencies, the local authority, voluntary
organisations, trade unions, employers, professions and the inhabitants of tho area in a common
effort to advance and Create and provide facilities for the gmploymenl and training of the said
inhabitants in the interest of social welfare with the object of improving their condib'ons of life.
iii. To assist financially or olhetwise by means of loans, with or without interest, on such terms as
to repayment, security or otherwise as are deemed appropriate or by way of grant, any individual,
company, firm, undertaking, partnership or cooperative or other group estsblishing or seeking to
establish a new business or enterprise or to expand an existing business or enterprise within the
area which will create employment opportunities. iv. To ovjanise the availability from supporters
of the company of human resources capable of giving expert adviee and practical assistan￿ and

Thg main activitias undertaken in relation to those purposes during the year
The charity organised the Christmas lighting for the town. Dromore 2000 Ltd rent their bullding lo
Western Health & Social Services Trust who run a day tsnlre for individuals with learning
dis#biif(ies. The organisalion prgvides advi￿ and encourage the r8generation of the local
existing businesses in the town. The or9anisalion gives relief of financial hardships, increases
employment opportunib'es through participation in job creation, stimulation and promotion with
new enterprises in the area. Promotes the benefit of the inhabitants of the area by creating and
providing facilities for their employment and training. The organisalion carries out maintenance,
improvement or provision of public amenities and will preserve buildings or siles of historic or
architectural interest. Provision of recreational facilities for the public regardless of their age,
infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or other clreum81an￿s. Promote public, childcere, and
health facilities. The charity also provides a hot-desk service known as the Village Table offering
an office spacè for local businesses and other entities which do not otherwise have access lo
office facilities.

During the year the charity continued its recentty opened service known as The Village Table.
This facility provides hol-desk seNices to local businesses. The annual Christmas Lights event
wa5 again a sUc￿$S attracting a large amount of people lo the town for the switch on. The day
centre for local people with leaming disabilities continued lo be operated from the building we
rent to the WHSCT.
The trustee8 have had regard to thè Charity Commission's guidance on public ber￿fit in managing the
ath"vities tsf the charity.
The main achievements and perfonnance of the charity durfng the year
During the year to 30 June 2023, the charity held its annual Christmas Lights event in De￿mber
2022, with costs being covered by a contribution from the local council and town trader donations.
Whilst this event does not generate a surplus, such events are important in creatin9 and
enhancing community spirit. The recently opened Village Table has a steady stream of bookin9S
throughout the year generating additonal income for the charity.
The difference the charitys perfomiance durlng the year has made to the
beneficiaries of the charity and wider soclety
During the year, the charity continued lo operate its day centre for local people with leaming
difficulties, as well as providing key social events for all local people. The Christmas Lights event
brings a huge sense of communty to the town as well as being a key social event for elderly or
other vulnerable individuals who lack independent transport to Omagh and Enniskillen (the
closest large towns lo Dromore). The Village Table service was available for the full year and
provided meeting facilities lo a wide range of local groups and businesses.
Structure, govemance and management of the eharity
The methods used to recruit and appoint new ¢harity trustees
New trustees are Kjentrfied through word of mouth. They come from the local community and are
very often well known lo existing members or trustees of the charity. Potential trustees are
screened and appointed by 8 panel of trustees. An active r9cruitment process is not undertaken
as the charity is ¢ompletely community-driven with its members and trustees all being from the
Dromore area.

The trustees consider the fi'nancial perfom7ance by the charity during the year to hove been
satisfactory.
Specrfic change$ in fixed assets are dotsiled in the notes to the accounts.
Policies on reserves
As al the end of the financial year 30 June 2023 reseryes held by the company amount to
£262,40712022, £262,337). This figure is n7ade up of a profit ancl loss reserve of £96,459 and
revaluation reserve of £165,948. These reserves provide security that the company will remain
functioning if funding were to decrease, enabling the annual events to cgnlinue with no
detrimental impact on the area and local community. Dromore 2000 Ltd has not defined the level
of reserves to be held, either as a minimum or a maximum, bul all surplus funds are reinvested
back into the company and are held as described above for future projects and the future life of
the ¢ompany.
Availability and adequacy of assets of each of the funds
The board of trustees is satisfied that the charity's assets in each fund are available and
adequate to fulfil its obligations in respect of each fund.

The company is an equal opportunities employer and W￿ld welcom& any application by a person with a

With illcreasing rental income combined with substantial reserves, the Trustees are satisfied that, al the time ol approving
the financial statements, it is appropriate to adopt the g(xng concern basis in preparing the financial statements. ottr￿r
than these matters, the Truste8s are rK>t aware of any matèrial uncertainiles about the charity's ability to colltinue as a
going concern.

The chaity is a putli¢ benefit entity.
The main risk to the charity 15 the ctsnb.nued availability of income streams, the largest of which is the rentsl incomè
re￿iVed from WHSCT. Publ￿ spending has been cul in recent years however, as the Day Cgntre is the only one of its
kind in the 8rea, fundin9 is expEoted to t￿tinUe to enable this vital service to survivÈ.

Volunteers
In accordance with the SORP, and in recogn￿"On ol the difficulties in pla(ing 8 monetary value on the contribution from
volunteers, tre contribution of volunteers is not included within the income of the charity.
However, the trustees value the significant contribution made to the activities of the charity by unpaid volunteers and this

The Trustees consider that the charty satisfies the tests set oui in Paragraph 1 Schedule 6 of the Finance Act 2010 for
UK corporation tsx purposes. Ac£ordingly, the Charity is potentially exempt from taxation in respect of irthme or capiial
gains re￿IVed within categories covered by chapter 3 part 11 of the Corty)ration Tax kt 2010 or Section 256 of tre
Taxation of Chargeable Gains Act 1992, tr) the extent th81 such income or gains are applied exdusively on the specifi¢
charitaUe objects tsl the charity and for no other purwse. Value Added Tax is partialy recoverable by th¢ charity. and is
therefore partially induded in the relevant costs in the Statement of Finan￿al AGtivities.

The charity depends on the support ol rts volunteers, which is much appreciated. The charity normally engages the

terms and have not been recognised in the St8tement ol Financial Activikn'es. The volunteers and the Gharity accept and
