## Activities

**Purposes:** The group is established to promote the welfare of the aged in an manner deemed by law to be charitable and will seek to advance education and to promote the preservation and protection of health among people aged 55 or over (hereinafter called "the beneficiaries") in Irvinestown and the surrounding area ("the area of benefit") and in particular:  (a)	To organise such specific services and activities for the well being of older people as are desirable.  (b)	To serve as a centre for information for those interested in the welfare of older people and also to provide networking opportunities.  (c)	To focus attention on the needs of and services available for older people by promoting or helping promote research, conferences, exhibitions, lectures and training courses.  (d)	To bring together representation of local voluntary agencies, statutory bodies and individuals in furtherance of the above.

**What the charity does:** The relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage
