Coolcreaghy Community Association was set up for the benefrt of the inhabitants in the area wr¢hout
di5tinttion of age, sex. race. political, religious or other opinion. by associating with the statutory
authorities, voluntary organisation5 and inhabitant5 in 3 common effort to advance education.

The benefits are providing a facilty in which the participants can use thus Increasing the skills of the
participants, increased activity and improving the physical and mental health and wellbein8 of the
participants. Participating in the various activities also reduces social isolation. With the numbers
attending the various attivities it encourages people to come forward 05 volunteers which gives
them increased abilities and even helps prepa￿ for various jobs in the Public/Private sector. le.g.
Child Protection TraininglFirst Aidl Basic Hygiene Training).
The monthly social dances are continuing to draw good crowds and the dancing classes are Still
continuing. There have been several classes, Flower ArraTrgin& Craft Cla5ses- which have been free
to those on benefits or low income. There have also been Child Protection Classes. Basic Food
Hygiene and First Aid classes facilitated by Dennett Interchange.
The premises are available to the local communtty for use for 8irthday Partie5 and Charity Events.
(As this encourages use of the facilities, Current￿ there is no charge. however. it 15 envisaged that
this will change in the near futurel.

Derry & Strabane District Council provided a Comrnunity Support Grant which greatty helps With the
running of the premises, particularly with the Hall insurance.
The Entertainment Licence is up to date and all necessary check5 for Tw5tee5 and volunteers are up
to date e.g. Child Protection and Vunerable Adult Training and Acce55 Nl checks.
