## **A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year**

Our unit had 21 consistent Guides during the period of 1st January 2018 to 31st December 2018. We met every week and worked towards the Guide Program. The girls made crafts in particular for Christmas, Mothers Day, Easter and other crafts that linked in with badges.

We followed the Girlguiding program suitable for this age-group and took part in a variety of activities both indoor and outdoor; including testing activities for the new Guide programme and feeding our points of view back to HQ in London on how the girls felt about them. We continue to ensure that each girl is challenged to reach her full potential while having fun in a safe girl only space.

There was no private benefit flowing from the purpose and there is no harm flowing from the purpose of Girlguiding Ulster.

## **A statement that the Trustees have had regard to the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance**
