This template is to provide guidance to units who are completing a Trustee Annual Report for the NI Charity Commission. If you do not wish to use this form please ensure that the headings in this guidance are followed when completing a Trustee Annual Report.
All Girlguiding Ulster Charities are governed by the Royal Charter and Bye-laws.
The Purpose of each of these Charities is to educate girls and young women to help them develop emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive contribution to their Community and the wider world.

There was no harm flowing from the charities activities and the financial position is sound with no debt. The girls this year planned parties, went to Portstewart for a day trip. They earned 12 badges, including the children in need badge, know myself theme badges and many more. The girls were given the opportunity to help plan activities and outings, including a trim trail nature walk. Overall, the girls had fun while gaining in confidence, learning to share and play with others. Learning how to take the lead and find their voice through circle time. The volunteers ensured that every meeting included the opportunity for the girls to have their voice heard and to try or learn new things.

All trustees and volunteers within the section are aware of the importance of the commission’s public benefit requirement. The section ensures it is doing this by encouraging membership from all sections of the community. Having an inclusive and supportive environment that challenges girls to be the best they can be. The section gives girls the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and supportive environment, try new things and learn about themselves. This gives them the opportunity to develop independence, resilience and leadership skills that will benefit them as they move through life. State in this box the overall financial position, if relevant include details of any debts or any reserves policy. Include current and previous financial figures for income and expenditure, these should be taken form the receipts and payments accounts.

A review of the Charity’s financial position at the end of the year
This is the first financial reporting period since the cessation of events for Covid 19. The income for the period was £1,072 and the expenditure was £576. There are no debts, and the charity is financially viable.
Details of any fund held by the Charity that was materially in deficit at the end of the year and steps taken by the Charity Trustees to eliminate the deficit
There were no funds in deficit at the end of the financial year.
