WE WE G1*. Ulster The financial year the report relates to- for example, I" April 2016 to 31 March 2017 I" January 2024 to 31" December 2024 A summary of the Charitys main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year In the last year the girls were involved in completing their badge work and skill builders, covering aspects such as natural remedies and first aid. The older girls obtained a grant from the Education Authorities Small Grant Programme. this was a very welcome addition to our funds, and allowed the girls to organise a well being event in January which covered strategies to improve mental health and helped them find out more about volunteering in guiding, and the benefits of volunteering. The leaders took part in safe space and first aid training; this was to ensure the safety of all the members of our unit. We went to Lorne Estate- Girlguiding Ulster for our residential weekend. The girls had a great weekend. They joined with other units from all over Ulster Region, taking part in several different activities such as climbing and bush craft. The weekend was a good bonding exercise for the girls and they faced some personal challenges along the way. Our unit also joined other units in the district for a trip to the cinema at Christmas. During the year the girls were involved in running and organising their activities and projects, this means the unit is in line with girlguiding as a girl led organisation. There was no private benefit or harm flowing from the charities purposes. A statement that the Trustees have had regard to the Commission's Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance In planning the activities for the year, the trustees of 2 Ballycarry guide unit have had regard to the Commission s Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance. This enables us to achieve our purposes and provide a benefit to the girls in the unit.
