The Trustees present the annual report and statement of Receipts and Payments and Assets and Liabilities for
Mullaghdun Parish Church for the year ended ) I t)e¢ember 2025.
Objettives and Activilies
The Charitable purpose of th¢ Church of Ir¢land is the advancemenl of religion. Ti)e principal function of
Mullaghdun Church of Ireland is to support the advancement of the Christian religion by promotin& through the work
of Mullabyhdun Church of Ireland, the whole mission of the Church, pasioral. evangelisiic, social and ecutnenical.
Being open to and engaginu with sociery &s a whole and offerinu supw)rt for those needing help are fundameiital to
the pracrical delivery of the benefits of Christianiry.
As a result of activity in the pursuit of ihe advancetnent of the Chrisiian religion, the Mullaghdun Church of Ireland
has custody of property and of records. materials and artefacts of significance to the cultural and reli(yious heritage and
maintenance of which is undertaken by the select vestry of the Mullaghdun Church of Ireland.
Achievemen￿ Performance Publi¢ Benefit
We have a se￿iCe of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month at 10 am and a service of moming prayer
on the other Sundays. We have a family service on the fifth Sunday of month.
We continue to support local charities with money received from our parishioners through free will offering, easter
offering and harvesi offering.
We have a monthly magazine that is distributed throughout the Clogher Diocese and helps keep ev¢ryon¢ up to date
with everkts in our Church and other chU￿h¢S in the area.
We have a Sunday School running during the morning Service for our 5ch¢x)I children. where the children can engage
in playful and carefully supervised aciivilies in a safe and friendly environment.
The Trustees have put in place strong w)li¢i¢s to mitigate any FKJt¢ntial harni to anyon¢ partaLin8 in Church activities,
and have a child protection policy in pl￿e under the control of our Safeguarding Trnst Committee.
In order for all of these activities to tske place our Trustees en5ur¢ that the buildings ar¢ well maintained and meet ihc
required safery standards and will be there for futur¢ generations in our community to use. With ¢ontinued
maintenance the public can be assured of our continua ChrLSlian Heritage and ensure the buildings will be available
and in good condition for fuiure generdiions.
Th¢ Parish has given careful consideration io the Chartty Commission for Northern Ireland guidance on public benefit
to ensure that the activities entered into during ihe year have helped io achieve ihe parish's objectives and activities, as
well as providing public benefit.
FiDancial Revie
Our total income in the vear came to £45.594 (2024.. £47.738) which was all unrestricted. On the expenditure side tlie
hurch spent a total of £50.025 (2024= £37.862) which was all unresiri¢ted.

Trustees, Policy on Holding Reserve5
The Trustees have a policy of holding sufficient unrestricted funds to cover three months overheads.
Going Concern
The Trustees have reviewed the budgets for the year ahead and are satisfied that there are adequate funds in place to
ensure thai the parish can continue its activities and the financial statements for the year etided 31 December 2025 can
be signed off as a going concern.
Structure, Governatsce and Management
Governing Document and Constitution of tbe Charity
Chapter 111 of the Constitution of the Churd) of Ireland governs Parishe5 and Parochial Organisation. The Select
Vestry members are the Charity Trustees.
Rteruitment and Appoinlmellt of Select Vestry (frn$te¢s)
All members of the Church of Ireland who are over the age of 18 and are either resident within the parish or live
elsewhere but have be¢tb accustomed membcrs of the conoreJo lion for at least three months. may register as members
of the Generdl Vestry of the parish. allowing them to attend and vote at mectings of the Genernl Vestry and to stand
for election to the Sele¢t Vestry. Meetings of the Generdl Vestry are held at least once a year. The Select Vestry is
elected as part of this General Vestsy meeiing. The Select Ve5ty will hold their positions for a period of one year.
Select Vesty members may be r¢-¢lec*d annually and there is no limit on the numkr of tern)s whi¢h may be served.
Diocesan As5e55ment
The Diocesan Assessment is £25,876 (2024: £22,280).
Organisational Strncture
The Select Vesty is reS￿nSIble for the day-to-day man4uetnent of the Parish. The Select Vestry coThsists of the
tnembers of the clergy serving in the parish, any Curdte Assistsnc th¢ Church Wardens. the Glcb¢ Wardens and
generally not more than twelve other members of the General Vestty ele¢ied at the Easter vesty meeling.
The Select Vesty is chaired by the incumknt or other tnembers of the clergj. O￿l¢latiftE in the parish. Select Vestry
members are responsible for making decisions on matters of g¢n¢rdl concern and importance to the parish including
deciding how parish funds are to be applied.
The Select Vesty meets at times fixed by members of the Diocesan Syn¢)d. Special meetings may k convened at any
time by the ChaKrperson or th¢ Church Wardens. In 2025 the Sel¢£t Vestry met 5 times during the year and the
averdge attendance was 96r/•o.
Compli#llee with Public Benefit
The Parish has given careful eonsiderntion to the Charity Commission for Northern Ire12nd's guidance on public
benefit to ensure that the activities entered into during the year have helped io achieve the Parish's objectives and
activities, as well as providing public benefit.
Ststement of Trustees, Responsibilities
The Trusle¢s are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and ihe Stat¢m¢nt of iieceipts and Payments and
Statement of Assets and Liabilities in accordance with applicable law and regulations.

The laws applicable to charities in Northern Ireland with income of less than £250,000 requires the TrLtstees lo prepare
a Statement of Receipt5 and Payments and a Statement of Assels and Liabilities for each financial year.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping a¢counling records that are sufficieiit to show and explain ihe Parish's
trdnsactions and disclose with reasonable accurdcy at any time Ihe assets and liabilities of the Parish. They are also
responsible lor safeguarding the assets of the Parish and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and
detection of fraud and oiher irregularities.
