Objertives and Artivitles The charitable purpoge of the Church of Ireland is the advancement of religion. The principal function of Lisbellaw with Coolbuck Church of Ireland Parish is to support the advancement of the Christian religion by promorinq, through the work of Lisbellaw with Coolbuck Church of Ireland, the whole mission of the Church. pastoral, evangelistic,I social and ecumenical. Being open to and engaging Wlth society as a whole and offerin8 SUPPOrt for those needing help are fundamental to the practical delivery of the benefits of Christianity. A5 a result of activity in the pursuit of the advancement of the Christian religion, Lisbellaw with Coolbuck Church of Ireland has custody of property and of records, materials and artefacts of si8nificance to the cultural and religious heritage and maintenance of which is undertaken by the select vestry of Lisbellaw with Coolbuck Church of Ireland. Achlevements, Performance & Public Beneflt Lisbellaw with Coolburk Church of Ireland has weekly services on Sunday mornin8s and afternoons comprising of a mix of Holy Communion, Fathily Services, Baptism, Morning and Evening Prayer, Compline, Late Evening Office, the Litany with various Other special services durin8 the year e8 Confirmation, Lenten, Harvest Thanks8ivin8s, Advent and Christmas. Pastoral core is provided for parlshioners and those in the wlder community. A range of other activlties are provided by Lisbellaw with Coolbuck Parish either by the church directly or through various church or8anisations e8 Sunday School, the Bridge youth group, Carers and Toddlers, Group,. Junior and Senior choir. Mothers, Union, Junior Badminton and a range of uniformed children's 8roups: Rainbows, Brownies, Girl Guides and Beaver Scouts. Other groups regularly hire the church parish centre for Bowls, Women's Institute, Wednesday Club and VÈterans' Group. The parSsh centre is 8iven free of char8e to all children's 8roup5 and also to the Christmas Lights, Association, A number of parishiorlers serve on the Board of Governors of the local primary school and the Rector leads assemblies on a regular basis. The Parish also supports the work of Scripture Union which is active in many of the local junior and Secondary schools. The activities outlined above demonstrate how Lisbellaw with Coolbuck Parish continues to irnplement its charitable purposes lie the advancement of religion) and meets the Public Benefit requirement by providing the Parish Centre free of charge to local communitv 8roups, contributing to the spiritual well-being of participants and the reinforcement of Christian values. Lisbellaw with Coolburk Parish has mitl8ated any potential harm through the implementation of the Church of Ireland Safeguarding Trust Policy. The Parish has given cèreful consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure that the actives entered into during the year have helped to achieve the Parish's objectives and activities, as well as providing public benefit.

Expenditure for the year totalled £101,83812022.. £68,366). The Trustees have adopted a policy of holding sufficient unrestricted funds to cover three months overheads. Going Concern The trustees have reviewed the budgets for the year ahead and are satisfied that there are adequate funds In place to ensure that the paris can continue its activities and the financial statements for the year end 31 December 2023 can be Slgned off a5 a goin8 ¢oncern. Structure, Governan¢e and Management Governlng Document and Constltutlon of the Chorlty Chapter111 of the Cortstitvtion of the Church of Ireland governs Parishes and Parochial Organisation. The Select Vestry members are the Charity Trustees. Recrultment ond Appolntment of Selert Vestry (Trusteesj All members of the Church of Ireland who are over the age of 18 and are either resident within the Parish or live elsewhere but have been accustomed members of the congregation for at least three months, may register as members of the general vestry of the parish, allowing them to attend and vote at meetings of the general vestry and to stand for election to the Select Vestry. Meetin85 of the general vestry are held once a year. The Select Vestry is elected as part of this General Vestry meeting. The Select Vestry will hold their positions for a period of one year. Select Vestry members may be re-elected annually and there is no limit on the number of terms which may be served, Oroan15atlonal Structure The Select Vestry is responsible for the day to day management of the Parish. The Select Vestry consists of the member of the clergy serving in the Parish, any curate asslstant I'the curate'l, the churchwardens, the glebe wardens and generallv not more than twelve other members of the general vestry elected at the General Vestry. The Select Vestry is chaired by the incumbent or other member of the clergy officiating in the Parish. Select vestry members are responsible for making decisions on matters of general concern and importance to the Parish including deciding how parish funds are to be applied, The Select Vestry meots at times fixed by the members or by the diocesan synod. Special meetings may be convened at any time by the chairperson or the churchwardens.

These Heritage assets are not included in the statement of assets and liabilities as information on the cost or valuation is not available and such infèrmation cannot be obtained at a cost commensurate with the benefit to the users of the accounts and to the Parish, The Parish Centre was., acquired on date unknown and redeveloped c.1990. There are no reliable records of the cost of this redevelopment and valuation approach for such a building lacks sufficient reliability. As a result this building is not recognised in the Pari 's Statement of Assets and Liabilities. The Glebe House is retO8nised at deemed cost, being the estimated fair value of the property at 31 December 2023.
