Under the congregation's governin8 document. The Code. the book of the constttution and government of the Presbyterlan Church in Ireland, the Klrk Sesslon seeks to watch over and promote the spiritual interest of the Congregation and of persons not connected wlth any congregation who are withln its bounds. It ensures pastoral care is in place in the congregatlon and seeks to furthèr the contributlon of the Church to Chrlstian wrtness and service in the local communlty. The Kirk Se55ions has delegated to Its Con8re83tlonal Committee the temporal affairs of the con8re8atlon including admlnFstering all fund5 and property belonging to thè congregation. Members of the Klrk Sesslon are ex-officlo members of the Congre8atlonal Committee. The Kirk Se$5ion consists of the ordalned mlnlsteT and the rulln8 elders of the con8re8ations. All member5 are entitled to propose, speak and exerclse equal votes at meetings. except that the Moderator, the minlsters in actlve duty In the con8re8atlon, has no deliberatlve but only a castlng vote. Durln8 the week the 8ible Study provldes an opportunlty for members to meet tO8ether for fellowship. to study the scriptures and for a tlme of prayer. As well as our regular services duriry the year we condurted I baptismal service and sought to comfort those who had been bereaved durin8 the year. At 31 December 2022 there were 136 communlcènt members and 134 lamllles connected wlth the congregation. The avera8e week attendance at mornlng worship is 90. Pastoral care Members of the con8regation who are unable to artend churth dve to sickness or age are vlslted on a fe8ular bas15 by the mlnister, elders or by one of the Cong￿SatIon's pastoral visitors. The Church elders seek to ¥1Slt the congre8atlon at least twice a year. Mlsslon and outreach All food5 Biven at harvest time We￿ donated to Ballymoney Food Bank. Anr*ual Carol service collection went to C.E.F and Andrew Mccaw who Is training to be a youth leader. Two Ugandan children are supported each month by the Sunday school chlldren. We also SUPPOrt Tear Fund each year throuKh a collection. A special week of mlsslon was held in October wlth flyers beln8 distributed around ihe ¥illa8e. The conBre8ation supports the Unlted Appeal for Mlssion whlch Is a central fund of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. Thls fund enables congregations to support the wlder mission of the denomination and to do mlsslon and outrearh on a denominational basis beyond what the congre8ation could do on its own. This provides an important link between the congregations and the wider structure5 of the chur¢h, Property The manse was occupied by our current minister. Or8anlsatlons Sunday school meets durin8 our momin8 service and caters for prlmary school aged ¢hlldren. Thls year we had a number of members who taught in the Sunday s￿01. It meets at 11=30 am from September-june. Our Youth Fellowshlp rneets every fortnlght and attended jolned events wlth other local churches. Our Youth club1813StI meets every Frlday nlght wlth 40-50 chlldren attendlng from the village. Our chur¢h contlnues to be Involved In providin8 for the needs of our congregation and Its surfoundln8 community. We have done thi5 throu8h the followSng actMtle5:. Shine for mums and tots was run on a Wednesday morfting from 10am-12noon, Chlldren enjoy an age-approprlate pro8r8mme. Thi5 actlvlty Is attended by people from our congre8atlon, our community and outside our communlty. Thls was a new or8anisatlon ihat we started, and It has donevery well. Thls shows that we aim to do new thlngs as well as continue established and successful ministrles. Our Mldweek Fellowship meets every Wednesday evenlng at 7.30pm from September-may. Led by the mlnlster, members of the congregation have a time of bible stu(iy and prayer. Wednesday Afternoon Fellowship meets on the second Wednesday of every month ISeptembei- May) and Is attended by good number of people from our congregation and communily. The programme Is normally qulte eclectlc, covering local historyi muslc, missionarles but we were unable to have a trip at the end of the year. There is a small commlttee of members who are responslble for putlin¥ together the pro8ramme for this. Also on Thursday evenln8s. once a month our Presbyterlan Women {PWI group meets from 7.30-9..00pm. From O¢tober- March the ladies follow a programme that is compiled by the ontral PW commlttee. As well as thls, the ladles normally enjoy a Chrlstmas dlnner locally. Mainly members of our own con8re8ation attend this meetlne. The ladles have a PW servlce once a year, whlch anyone Is wel￿rne to attend. Our CTafts and Chat met each thlrd Thursday of the month. Led by a church mèmber, a time of craft, conversatlon and a Short epilogue led by a vlsltlng Speaker. Acup of tea followed. Every 1$¢ Sunday of the month we have a mission's cafe at 6..30 pm. As the congregation's total income does not exceed £250.01Th), the Trustees have elected under Sectlon 64131 of the CharSties Act (Northern Ireland) 208 to prepare a receipts and payment account and a statement of assets and liabilities. The Trustees are responslble for keeping adequate accountin8 records that are 5ufficlent to show and explain the congregation's transactions and dlsclose with reasonable accuracy at any time its financi41 p051tlon.
