Under the congregation's governing document, The Code, the book of the constitution and government of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, the Kirk Session seeks to watch over and promote the spiritual interest of the congregatlon and of person5 not connected with any congregation who are wtthin rts bounds. It ensures pastoral care 15 in place in the conBregation and seek5to further the contribution of thechurch to Christian witness and seNlce In the local communtty. The Kirk Sessions has dèlegated to tts Congregational Committee the temporal affairs of the congregation induding administering all fundsand property belongingto the congregation. Members of the Kirk Session are ex-officio members of the Congregational Committee. The Kirk Session consists of the ordained minister and the ruling elders of the congregations. All members are entttled to propose, speak and exercise equal votes at meeting5. except that the Moderator, the Ministers in actlve duty in the congre8ation, has no deliberate but only a casting vote. Staled meetings of the Kirk session are held five times each year. To be chosen for the office ofthe eldership in the congregètion a person must be a voting member and a regular attendant on lis ordinances. The selection of those proposed to be called to the office can be either by the congregation or by the Kirk Session. Members are elected rfthey obtain tWO-third5 of those who vote. The Sacrament of the Lords Supper is observed on several occasions during the year and all those who have been baptised and who have made a profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ 3re admitted to the Lord's Supper. The congregation hold5 regular bible stuity I prayer meetings and has a range of organisations induding Ladies Fellowship Wednesday Afternoon Fellowship Girls Brigade ACHIEVEMEpifsA14D PERFORMANCE Worship and prayer The congregation norrnally meets for worship each Sunday at 11-.30am. The mid- week meetings. Thursday at 10:(Klam & 7:00pm. provides an opportunty for members to meet together for fellowship, to study the scriptures and for a time of prayer. At 31 December 2025 there were 78comrnunicant members aTrJ 110 families connected with ihe congregations. The average week attendance at morning worship is 60. Care & Share (Pastoral care) Members of the congregation who are unable to attend church due to si(kness or age are vlsited regularly by the vacancy convenor. elders andlor by one of our Care & Share group. Care & Share is a pastoral support service offered by members of the congregation. Everyone invofved is a volunteer who is willing to help individuals at a time when they need a little extra help and support. Care & Share aim to help in whatever way they can in whatever circumstsnces they can. Work done by Care & Share indudes. We seek to do this by encouraging every member of the congregation to live out their lives in obedience to Christ as they interact with people on a daily basis. When opportunity presents. we workcloselywith Ballee CommunityAssociation as a wayof promoting ourwork with the wider community. The ¢ongregatson supports the United Appeal for Mission which is a ￿ntral fund of the Presbyierian Church In Ireland. Thls fund enables tongregations to SUPPOrt the wider mission of the denomination and to do mission and outreach on a denomlnational basis beyond what the congregation Could do on its own. The United Appeal Fund provides financial 5UPPOrt for mission personnel at home and oversea5, a55ists o)n8regations with the deployment of localty based staff, enables church plantin& provides grant support for the upkeep of church premises, assist with the running costs of Union Theological College. the Church's training college for ministry students, and financially supports congregation in the areas of worship. discipleship. global mission, outreach. leadership and pastoral care. The congregation also contributes to speaal appeab made by our denomination. PresbY￿ry The cor)gregation was represented at the regular meetings of Presbytery by one of the elders. This provides an important link between the congregation5 and the wider strurtures of the churth. General Assemblv One of the elders attendèd the meeting of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Churth in Ireland held in Assembly Buildings. Belfast. in June. Propèrty Our property remains in a good State of repair. Organlsations At the time of writing our Congregation remains vacant. however. during 2025 Èood progre55 ha5 been made as we work towards appointing a new minlster. Durin8 earty 2025 discussions took place with the congregation of Ballykeel, who were also vacant and found themselves unable to appoint a minister of their own. In September 2025 the'unkage Commission,, la committee of Cèntral PCII. approved the linkage of our congregation with the congregation of Ballykeel. At the same meeting the new￿ linked congregations were given leave to Call a minister. Since September we have been working through the process of appointing a new minister, and we hope. God willin& to make an appointment in May 2026. As a linked congregation we share a minister and the costs involved. however, wè retain our unique identity. buildings and governan￿, with complete control of our finances. A5 a result of the linkage the Rev. Philip Mccullough is Tho longer our wa￿nCY convenor. We thank Philip forall his help and gUidan￿3S we have navigated the vacancy Pro￿$5 thus far. The Rev. Richard Morrison has been appointed as the vacancy convenor for the linked congregations. and we are looking foNard to workin8 With him. As a congregation we continue. as best we can, to be a witness for the Lord Jesus Christ in the B3llee community. DurinÈ 2025 despite our limited resour￿5, we have been able to continue our ministry via Sunday mornirbg worship, prayer trmes. Girls Brigade company. Ladies Fellowship and our Wednesday Afternoon Fellowship. Wednesday Afternoon Fellowship This 8roup meets rnonthly and is open to members and non-members of all a8es. It provides a varièd programme of artivities and the opportuntty to enjoy fellowship and a chat over a cup of tea. The only private beneftt flowing from our purpose is related to Ministers, Missionaries, Deaconesses, Irish Mission workers and LayAgents who receive benefrt5 as a result of their holdlng office or employment. However. this Is inadental and necessary in orderto further ourcharitable purpose. There are no other private benefits. Total expenditure increased from £ 38,462 in 2024 to £39,926 in 2025. srATEMENT OF TRU5fEE RESPON51BILmES The Trustees are responsible for preparin8 the annual report and the financial statements of the con8reEation in accordance with applicable law and generalty accepted accounting practice. As the congregation's totsl income does not exceed £250.000. the Trustees have elected under Section 64131 of the Charities Act INorthern Ireland) 2018 to prepare a receipts and payment account and a statement of assets The Trustees are responsible for keeping adeqvate actounting records that are sufficient to show ènd explain the congregation's transactlons and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time its ffinancial position. Thev are also responsible for 53fe8uarding the assets of the corwdregation and hence for tsking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
