Set out below are the principal accountlng policles which have been adopted In the compilation of the
Receipts and Payments Account and the Statement of A55ets and Liablllties.
a) Recelpts and Payments Account
All items of income ènd expenditLrre included within the Receipts and Payments Account have been accounted
for on a cash receipts basis.

il The assets of the Parlsh, retalned for Its own use comprlse:
Church BuildinB and Graveyard
Church Hall
The Church Buildlng and Graveyard are deemed to be Heritage a55et5 as defined by the Charities SORP
IFRS 1021. These Heritage assets are not included in the statement of assets and liabilitles as information on
the cost of valuation Is not available and such information cannot be obtained at a cost commensurate with
the benefit to the user5 of the accounts and to the Parlsh.
The Church Hall is recognised at its approximate market value. The Hall was built over 100 years ago
with major renovations in 1988.
ill Investments
Fixed asset investments comprising listed Investment5 {ordinary shares), Investment properties and
Representative Church Body IRCB) Investments are intially recorded at cost and are then subsequently
stated at fair value at each year end date.
