2[nd] Holywood Brownies is registered as a group with Girlguiding Ulster. All Girlguiding Ulster Charities are governed by the Royal Charter and Bye-laws.
The purpose of the charity is to educate girls and young women to help them develop emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive contribution to their community and the wider world.

A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purpose for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year
2[nd] Holywood Brownies is a group of girls and young women aged 7 – 10 years who meet 36 weeks a year on a Tuesday night from 6.30-8.00 pm. There were 17 Brownies when the unit closed for the summer on 13th June 2023.
The girls completed many badges as part of the Brownie programme and activities including charity event Lorne sponsored walk.
Four outdoor activities were held - Fun day, Comber, pantomime, 10-pin bowling, Clip & Climb.
A statement that the Trustees have had regard to the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance.
All the Trustees of 2[nd] Holywood Brownies are aware of the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance.
A review of the Charity’s financial position at the end of the year.
2[nd] Holywood Brownies had a surplus of £1046.28 for the year of guiding activities which leaves this surplus in the bank. There was a large surplus as proposed pack holiday was paid for and postponed to October 2023. The surplus will cover pack holiday and fund activities for start of Brownies in September 2023. The group has no assets.
Details of any fund held by the Charity that was materially in deficit at the end of the year and steps taken by the Charity Trustees to eliminate the deficit.
