congregation's dixretion; the Income derived from the endowment is to be used either as restrlcted

Restrlcted funds comprose lal income from endowments which is to be expended only on the
restrlcted purposes Irrtended by the donor and Ibl revenue donations or grants for a specific

PENSION COSTS
The minister of the congregation is a memberof thè Prèsbyterian Church in Ireland Penslon kheme
120091. This Is a scheme operated by the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, a separately re8lstered
charity. The cong￿gatIOn pays an a55essment to the Presbyterian Churth in Ireland equivalent to the
employer's pension contribution for the Scheme and based on the stipend paid to the minister. The
Presbyterian Chtjrch in Ireland Pension Stheme12(X)91 15 a fijnded Scheme of the defined benefit
type, providing deflned benefits based on career average revalued salary. The Scheme has assets
held In a separately admlnlstered fund managed by a board of trustees. The Presbyterian Church and
the Scheme Trustees have agreed a fundlng plan to ensure thatthe Scheme Is sufficiently funded to
meet current an(J future obllgatlons. A fonTral Khedule of contributions was dr8wn up on 25
November 2015 whereby the Presbyterian Church agreed to pay from 31 December 2015
contributlons of 24% of pensionable salarks to c¢y4er the accrual of benefits for future service,
expenses, the cost of InsurinÈ death in seThice benefits and fundi￿ the scheme defldL

The congregation does not dirertly hold investments that arè listed on reco8nised stock èxthan8es.
The congregation however holds shares in the General Investment Fund which is managed by the
Trustees of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. • ￿rpOrate body established Ur￿*r the Irish
Presbyterian Church Art 1871. The shares were valued on 31° December 2025 and are Ir￿uded in
the Balance Sheet at that value.
The con8re8atlon a150 hold shares in the Northern IrelarKI Central Investment Fun¢Lfor Charities.
Established in 1965 through the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 1964 the Northern Ireland Central
Investment Fund for Charities alms to provlde charity trustees with the opportunity to invest all or
part of their funds with the benefit of expert supervlslon. It is managed by the Department for
Communltlès through recognised fij1￿ managers. but ￿ Imiestment wli¢y 15 guided by a locally
based advisory commlttee appointed by the department. which meets In February, May, Au8USt and
November each year. The fund operates as a discretionary mana8ed fund. Partlclpatlng Charities
pool their investmerrts and are given a proportionate number of shares in the fund based on the
m05t recent valuationlshare pricel. The fund Imiests in fixed-interest securities and selected
equities. The allocation between fixed-interest securities and eqUIt￿S Is reviewed and adlusted
peflodi¢Jlly, In line with the fund'5 investment policy. The Fund is fomialty valued at the end of each
month and our ¢onÈre8ation's share of its value a5 at 31" December 2025 15 included In the Balance
Sheet.
