1. Welcome

The Chairperson welcomed all to Tiny Tots Parent and Toddler AGM.

2. Chairpersons review

Tiny Tots reconvened on 3[rd] February 2022. CHOICE who owns Clachan Court were not willing to allow Tiny Tots to use their facilities, so we looked for an alternative venue. The Committee decided that we should keep the new location in Derrylin. We looked at the Church of Ireland Church Hall and St. Ninnidh’s Parish Centre. We decided to go to St. Ninnidh’s Parish Hall as it was available. We negotiated a reasonable rent of £20 with Brian McManus.

After careful consideration we re-opened in February 2022 when we felt that CV-19 transmission levels were low. We followed the relevant COVID-19 guidelines and transferred most of our equipment down to the new premises. It was decided not to move everything just incase we needed to move back to Clachan Court. The rent of the Hall is higher, and we are depending on good numbers attending the session to cover the cost. Catherine said that she would let us know when Clachan Court does become available to Tiny Tots. One big draw back of the Hall is the standard of the cleaning.

Tiny Tots now have their own email account, WhatsApp group and a Facebook page. 91 people have joined us on Facebook, and we have 30 participants on the WhatsApp group.

Since opening in February our service has been accessed 191 times. This has been a success.

I am keen to let those attending understand that the group is open to new ideas. I would like the mothers/carers to own it and make it relevant to their needs. If you have any ideas, please bring them to me and I will do my best to bring them to fruition through grants.

I am delighted to have Elise on board. She has been an excellent addition to our team. Also, a thank you to Sharon our Musical Director.

Update on grant applications :

The Fermanagh & Omagh District Council: Due to Covid-19 restrictions we were unable to hold the ‘Relax Kids’ sessions that we had received £280 in funding for. The council were keen to see that we did not miss out on the funding, so they issued an amended Letter of Offer and we received funding for our annual Insurance cost and a wall mounted baby changer which has been installed in the disabled toilet.

3. Treasurers Report

Catherine presented the Tiny Tots Group finances for the year ending 31 July 2021 (see attached Income and Expenditure Accounts for the year ended 31 July 2021). The Groups finances for 2021 show a sterling surplus of £499.33 (2020 Surplus £767.30).

Weekly Parental/ Carer contributions totalled £0 and €0 (2020 was £415 and €3). Additional expenditure of £284 was incurred by the Group through the repayment of unspent money from the Comic Relief Grant awarded last year.
