Under the congregation's governing document, Th¢ Code, the book of the constitution and government of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, the Kirk Session seeks to watch over and promote the spiritual interest of the congregation and of persons not connected with any congregation who are within tts bounds. It ensures pastoral care is in place in the congregation and Seeks to further the contribution of the Church to Christian withess and service in the local community. The Kirk Sessions has delegaied to its Congregaiional Committee the temporal affairs of the congregation including administ¢ring all funds and property belonging to the congregation. Members of the Kirk Session are ex-officio members of the Congregational Committee. The Kirk Session consists of the ordained minister and the ruling elder5 of the congregation. All members are entitled to propose, speak and exercise equal votes at Meetings, excepi that the Moderator, the ministers in active duty in the ¢ongregatÉon, has no deliberative but only a casting vo*. Stated meelings of the Kirk session are held at five times in each year. To be chosen for the office of the eldership in the congregation a person must be a voting member and a regular attendant on its ordinances. The selection of those proposed to be called to the office can be either by the congregation or by the Kirk Session. Members are elected if they obtain two-thirds of those who vote. Presbytery Under the Presbyterian Church in Ireland fonn of governance the colporate oversight of a congregation is the responsibility of a Presbytery which superintends generally the spiritual and temporal affairs of the congregations assigned to it by the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. Dunloy congregation of the Presbyterian Church has been assigned to the Route Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. The membership of the Presbytery consists mainly of the active ministers of congregations assigned to it by the General Assembly, minsters who have retired from active duty and an elder appointed by the Kirk Session of the congregation. The General Assembly The General Assembly is the supreme court of the Church, representing in one body the whole Church and acting as its supreme Irgislative, athtLilli5trdtion and judicial authority. in dealing with all matters brought before it. The General Assembly is nornially constituted during the r￿st week in June for worship and to conduct its business. At the end of business it is dissolved. ACTIVITIES AND OBJECTIVES The congregation n]eets for worship every Sunday and visitors are welcome to join. The Sacrament of the Lords Supper is observed on several occasions during the year and all those who have been baptised and who have made a profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are admitted to the Lord's Supper. During the week the Bible Study provides an opportunity for members to meet logether for fellowship, to study the scriptures and for a time of prayer. There is also a prayer meeting before the Sunday service at 10.15am and a monthly prayer meeting on the second Tuesday of the month at 8.00pm. At 31 December 2022 there were 84 communicant members and 56 families connected with Ihe congregation. The aveTag¢ week attendance at morning Worship is 40. Pastoral care Members of the congregation who are unable to atteTJd church due to sickness or age who would have been visited on a regular basis by the millister, elders or by phone if unable to call round in person. Mission and outreach At a local level the congregation ran a messy church night and a kids movie night. FTOM the Midweek collection we support a child through adopt a child and through our Sunday school collection we support a child from Uganda. Through the Presb)tteTian Woman, there was donations to PW Mission Fund of £600 and senior citizens Christmas hampers costtng a total of £216. The congregation supports the United Appeal for Mission which is a central fund of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. This fund enables congregations to support the wider rnission of the denomination and to do mission and outreach on a denominational basis beyond what the congregation could do on its own. The United Appeal Fund provides financial support for mission personnel at home and overseas, assists congregations with the deployment of locally based staff, enables church planting, provide5 grant support for the upkeep of church premises, a551St with the r￿nn]ng costs of Union Theological College, the Church's training college for ministry students, and financially supports congregation in the areas of worship, discipleship. global mission, outreach, leadership and pastoral care.

This provides an important link between the congregations and the wider structures of the church. General Assembly The minister and the representative elder were nominated to attend the meetings of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Irelan(L held in Assernbly Buildings in Belfast, in June. Property There was one Tnajor repair and maintenance project carried out this year with work done to tarniac around the hurch hall costing a total of £1 8,972. Organisations The Presb erian Woman's organisation meets on the 1st Monday of every month from October through to April. There are currently 14 members on it's roll. Meetings consist of bible study and guest speakers with a Christian Ethos. The PW norn)ally raises money through fundraisers such as the Michaelmas Tea but which has now changed to a Pudding Party night and il's annual church service. Money was also raised from donations from the church and PW members and thi5 h¢lp¢d support charities such as the PW Missions Fund, Dunlo Bowlin Club meets each Thursday night from September to mid-April. We have appToxirnately 24 members. We belong to the North West Bowling League and play competitive matches once a week. We also run an annual singles tournament in early January with the proceeds going to local charities. Sunda School is held each Sunday and consists of a junior class for ages 4 9 and a senior class for ages l O - early teens. On average there are roughly 4 - 6 children attending the junior cla55 and 2 - 4 children in the senior class. The children help support a child in Uganda through their weekly collection. There was a Christmas paty and Sunday School trip this year for the first time since 2019. Volunteers The Trnstees wish to acknowledge theiT deep appreciation of those who give freely of their time by serving on committees and helping with organizations and other church activities.

The direct benefits which flow from the purposes of the Church include the gaining of an understanding in Christian beliefs as set out the Bible and in the Church's subordinate standards (the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Shorter and Larger Catechisms) leading to spiriNal and moral development and opportunities for response to Bible teaching. In turn. this framework leads to practical expressions of Christian beliefs and standards in the local community such as through the care of those in need (including the sick, disabled and bereaved). Gen¢rally, the above benefits are delivered locally by congregations and their members, or are facilitated through presbyteries or are organised and delivered centrally. Local delivery 15 facilitated by central resources in alTnost all cases. Public access is made known through the use of noticeboards, printed material, press advertisement. websites. and social media or in other ways. The benefits are demonstrated through regular evaluation of the services and infornial and ad-hoc feedback from mernbers, their families, and members of the public. The purpose does not lead to harni. The only private benefjt flowing from our pu4)ose is related to Ministers, Missionaries, Deacone55es, Irish Mission workers and Lay Agents who receive benefits a5 a result of their holding 0￿]ce or employment. However, this is incidental and necessary in order to further our charitable purpose. There are no other private benefit5. The beneficiaries of this purpose are members, their farnilies, other individuals that the Presbyterian Church in Ireland is in direct and indirect contact with. the community in which pastoral services are Provided and other communities throughout Northern Ireland. the Republic of Ireland. and worldwide which benefit from our engagement with and support for both Christian and other secular Organisations, charities and individual members of the public, The Kirk Session has had regard to the Charity Commissions Public benefit requirement statutory guidance.

Total expenditure increased from £32.442 in 2021 to £73.500 in 2022. The main reasons for the increased level of expenditure are increased church running costs, repair5 and maintenance and donations to missionaries and charities. These increases are partly due to expendittjre being deferred after the COVID-19 pandemic. STATEIWIENT OF TRUSTEE RESPONSIBILITIES The Trustees are responsible for preparing the annual report and the financial statements of the congregation tn accordance with applicable law and generally accepted accounting practice. As the congregation, s total income does not exceed £250.000, the Trustees have elected under Section 64(3) of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 208 to prepare a receipts and payment account and a statement of assets and labilities. The Trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the congregation's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time its financial position. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the congregation and hence for tsking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other i￿egUlaTitlcs.
