## Activities

**Purposes:** OBJECTS  4.	The Charity’s objects (“Objects”) are specifically restricted to the following:-  (1)	To educate the public in all matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals.  (2)	To advance animal welfare and promote humane and responsible behaviour towards animals by:  (i)	providing advice, information and best practice guidelines on animal welfare to the public and to those working directly with animals and/or involved in animal welfare issues;  (ii)	delivering educational and training courses, seminars, workshops, lectures, talks and other events to schools, colleges, veterinary professionals and people engaged in providing animal welfare services;  (iii)	co-operating, and working in partnership, with statutory agencies and bodies and animal welfare and voluntary organisations to ensure compliance with and enforcement of animal welfare legislation and the dissemination of information and practical advice.    (3)	To promote pet facilitated therapy programmes for people in need or suffering some form of disadvantage.
