REPORT for the financial year ended 31 December 2022 The Iruslees present their Trustees, Report and the unaudited financial statements for the financial year ended 31 December 2022. The financial stalemenls are prepared in accordan￿ with FRS 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and Accounling and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their financial statements in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 102). The Trustees, Report contains the information required lo be provided in the Trustees, Annual Report under the Slalement of Recommended Practice {SORPI guidelines. The trustees of the charity are also charity Iruslees for the purpose of charity law and under the chanty's constitution are known as members of the board of trustees. In this report the IrLSStees of Killeeshil Community Centre present a summary of its Purpose, governance, aclivilies, achievements and finances foi the financial year ended 31 December 2022. Mission, Obje¢tive8 and Stratogy Mission Ststsment Killeeshil Community Centre Association was established to promote and provide educational, cultural, social and recreational needs for the Killeeshil area and wider area. The objective of the charity is to address the lack of accessible community facilities and services in the area through Ihe maintenance of an appropriate multi-purpose community facility The direct benefit of the charity is providing a cenlral localion for the local community lo come together and assisting in the development of the community and wider community as a whole for present and future generations lo enjoy. This is pnmarily achieved by arranging drama, singing, dancing, job club and exercise classes all in the hope that social inclusion is promoted along with community volunteering. The Association also promoles he811h and well- being e,g. Open Door Club which promoles social inteprfention for elderly people in the area. Killeeshil Community Centre Association works closely with statutory bodies. voluntary and community organisations and local residents in a common effort lo promote citizenship and community development. These benefits are demonstrated through community events such as cycle sportive, tractor Run and Christmas fayre which all provide social inclusion for families within the Killeeshil and surrounding area. Killeeshil Community Centre Association encourages feedback from all users by using evaluations, suggestion box initiatives, website and social media. Information meetings and attendan￿ at annual general meetings are other avenues used lo encourage people lo sit on the committee and participate in workshops in the hope lo gain an insight to what the community rseeds are. The Charity beneficiaries are the people of Killeeshil and Ihe wider area, and its environs of Northem Ireland without distinction of age, gender. disability, sexual orientation, nalionalily. ethnic identity. political or religious opinion, by associating the stalulory authorities. commLtnity and voluntary organisalions and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance crtizenship and community development, with the object to improve the conditions of life for the said inhabitants Structure. Governance and Management Structuro Killeeshil Commuinity Centre is a charity administered and managed in accordance with it's constilution, by the trustees. Financial Review During the year ended 31 December 2022, Killeeshil Community Centre produced a surplus of £2.611 (2021 £5.070) At the end of the financial year Ihe charity has assets of £56,952 12021 £54,341) and liabilities of £0. (2021 £0). The net assets ofthe charity have increased by £2,611. It is the policy of Killeeshil Community Centre to retain a level to Cover any unforeseen expenditure and allow the charity to continue in operation. The trustees do not foresee any financial issues in the foreseeable fulure.

RESPONSIBILITIES for the finanaal year ended 310ecember 2022 The trustees are responsible for preparing the finanaal statements in accordan￿ witr) applicable law and regulations. The law applicable to charities in Northern Ireland requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for èach financial year which give a true and fair view of the assets, liabilities and fi'nancial position of the charity as at the financial year end date and of the surplus or defiat of the chanty and otherwise comply with the Charities Act INorthern Ireland) 2008 In preparing these finanoal slalements. the trustees are required lo.. select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently", observe the methods and principles In the Charities SORP make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent., slate whether the financial slalements have been p￿pared in accordance wth the relevant financial reporting framework, identify those standards, and note the effect and the reasons for any material departure from those standards, and prepare the financtal slatemenls on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in operation.
