All Girlguiding Ulster Charities are governed by the Royal Charter and Bye-laws.
The Purpose of each of these Charities is to educate girls and young women to help them develop emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive contribution to their Community and the wider world.

A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year
1[st] Drumgooland Brownies had 16 girls in the Unit. They completed skill badges as part of the Brownie Programme. Fundraising took place with a stall at a Christmas Fayre, recycling newspapers and a coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support. They attended Remembrance Day Services and the Guide and Scout Carol Service. They held themed nights which included Pyjama and Christmas Parties. They participated in a technology workshop with PwC, took part in team building orienteering with other Brownies in the District and decorated posters to be displayed in the wards of the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. To finish off the Guiding year, there was a tea party for family and friends. There was no harm flowing from the Charity’s purpose and that there was no private benefit to any individuals.

A review of the Charity’s financial position at the end of the year
Income was £1290.00 and expenditure was £1025.00, leaving a credit of £1162.80 at 31 August 2019.
Details of any fund held by the Charity that was materially in deficit at the end of the year and steps taken by the Charity Trustees to eliminate the deficit
