I" Colebrooke/Cooneen Squirrels is a standalone organisation which is a feeder
organisation for the I" Colebrooke/cooneen scout Group. Its membership is limited
to young people 3ged four to six years of a8e. I, Colebrooke/Caoneen Squirre15 15
an affiliated member of the Northern Ireland Squirrel Association. I
Colebrooke/Cooneen Squirrels meets on Tuesday evenlngs between September and
June. I" Colebrooke/Cooneen Squirrels is managed in accordance with its
constitution by the trustees of the or8anisation.
Purposes of our charity:
The Drey is established to promote the benefit of young people between the ages of 4 and
6 in the area of benef it and in particular to promote the development ol young people in
achievin8 their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentiols as individua15, as
responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communitie5.

The Direct Benefits which flow from our purposes are that:

l. BY learning physically through actlve games young people will be more active and
heahhier and will learn how to play In teams, how to obey rules.
2. By learning intellectually through talks, visits. songs, and craft young people will
develop personal skills and understanding.
3. By learning 50ci315kills the youn8 people will be friendly to others within and Outside
the drey an d will understand that other people in the world may not look or sound
the same as them.
4. By learning 5pirttually they will learn to be better citizens within a moral framework
by supportin8 charities and learning obout other faiths.
5. All the above skills will help the children to become more responsible citizens and
active Members oftheir communitie5.
The Leader5 during the year were: Glenda Eagle50n, Caitlynn Fee, Hannah Richmond, Emma
Johnston & David Fee
Drey membership was 16 Boys & Girls
Main Activities:
It has been 3 very busy year for our Drey with a varied programme of games, crafts, food,
talks, play and activities. We participated in Remembrance Day service, we renewed our
Squirrel promise. Halloween, Pancake Tuesday and Easter were all enjayed with baking and
games. A visit by the RNLI was fun & educational. Squirrels were a150 invDlved in producing
Christmas hampers & making cards for dementia sufferers. Throughout the year the
squirrels have proudly earned badges for their achievements. The year was finished with an
outing to the cinema enjoyed by all who attended.
Review of our charity's financial position
Our funds are in 3 he31thy state and we do not have ar5y debts or funds in material deficit.
We do not currently have a reserves policy but collect subscrlptions and fees on a regular
basis in order to satisfy contingencies and anticipated expenses.
