Brookeborough And District Community Development Association
Report of the trustees
for the year ended 31 March 2023
Financial review
During the year ended 31 March 2023 we had a deficit of £(9,916), (2022 deficit £(8,271)). We
ended the year with cash reserves of £(25,771). It has been our policy to bring the Charity to a
position where it can continue financially without external grants. The aim is that income from
community groups plus small local donations plus the donated labour of trustees and other local
volunteers will cover the charity running costs. We have prepared the accounts using the Receipts &
Payments basis. As the accounts were previously prepared on an accruals basis we have revised the
comparative period accounts to a Receipts & Payments basis.
Going Concern
We consider it reasonable that the Charity can operate on a going concern basis and has sufficient
funds and an income stream to allow it to continue for the foreseeable future.
