Fermanagh, BT92 5BP Objectives and Activities Ob'ectives The playschool is established to promote play based learning environments for all children under statutory school age, (hereinafter referred to as the beneficiaries) of Donagh and its surrounding environs in County Fermanagh (hereinafter called "the area of benefit") without distinction of age, gender, marital status, disabilityi sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authoritie5, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and in particular: a) to advance the education of the beneficiaries by the provision of safe and satisfying group play, with the rights of parents/carers to take responsibility for and to become involved in
the activities of the playschool; and to promote the preservation of health of the benef iciaries. and bl To support the values and principle5 of Early Years. Activities Donagh Wee Folk playschool was set up in 1997 by members of the local community, in response to requests from parents for the provision of locally based pre-school education. The group 15 run by a voluntary committee, and is based in Donagh Wee Folk Playschool building which is rented from Donagh Development Association. Donagh Wee Folk Playschool works closely with advisor5 from organisations such as Early Years, the Education Authority, Health Trust to enable each child to progress and learn through play to the best of their ability. Donagh Wee Folk Playschool is registered with WHSCT social services department and is also part of the WELB pre-school education expansion programme. Donagh Wee Folk Playschool follow the DENI guidelines and offer children opportunitie5 to learn through play using the six areas of learning: Language, Early Maths, Art, The World Around Us, Music, Personal. Social, Emotional and Physical Development. Donagh Wee Folk playschool trustees have considered the Charity Commission for Northern Ire5and's general guidance on public benefit when reviewing our objectives and in planning our future activities to ensure that these achieve the association's purposes and provide a benefit to beneficiaries. Financial Review Revlew of the business Dona8h Wee Folk Playschool is a non-profit making organi5ation with a net deficit in the year of 5,855. The largest expense for the organisation continues to be that of staff wages. During the year a new outdoor covered area was added as the Covid 19 pandemic was still in place. The trustees continue to manage resources in an efficient and sustainable manner investing in staff training and new equipment for the school. Reserves Poli Donagh Wee Folk have a Resenies Policy, which requires that resenies are built or maintalned at a level which ensures that the organisations known liabilities will be paid should the organisation cease to trade. Future Plans Donagh Wee Folk Playschool plan to continue to focus on staff training, controlling costs, whiSe maintaining the high Standards of service to our beneficiaries. ststement of Trustees Responsibilities for the year ended 31" August 2022 The trustees are responsible for preparing the financial statements in accordance with appSicable law and regulations. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with all appropriate regulations. They are also responsible for safe
guarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularitie5.
