a) to promote the Christian faith in the area of benefit through evangelism, prayer events and meeting and street

outreach activities;

b) to provide assistance to people within the area of benefit who are deemed to be homeless or sleeping rough or

Summary of the Main Activities Undertaken for the Public Benefit in Relation to the Charity's Objects:

3: As a charity, we provided free academic advice/guidance to newly admitted international university students to help them acquaint with the teaching and learning methods in the United Kingdom which many of them find challenging at the start of their studies.

5: We organised free events for teenagers during the spring and summer school holidays which included card designs, sporting games, creative writing and arts, drama, video editing, script writing, painting and quiz competitions. We had over twenty-five (25) teenagers in attendance and proper meal was provided for free.

6: Our annual summer programme ‘’Family Fun Day’’ was held in August 2024. This was an outdoor event, and we had over one hundred and sixty (160) people in attendance. There were lots of activities which were meant to help the mental health of the people, ensure family cohesion, and promote love and unity in our community. Three square varieties of meals were provided by our charity and free transportation (Hired vehicles) were provided for many who does not have means of transportation. The event was fully funded by our charity.

10: During Christmas and new year celebration season our charity gave out bags of rice, and cooking oil to support families, shopping vouchers were given out to large numbers of people, and Christmas get together was organised by us in the community with over one hundred and fifty people (150) people in attendance. Free food and gifts were given.

Achievements & Performance

Statutory Declaration

The trustees declare that they have complied with their duty to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the commission in exercising their powers or duties.

Summary of the Main Achievements of the Charity for the Year:

We have a centre which we provide counselling and provide information, e.g., we use the centre for counselling and as a distribution point for all the food we distribute to various individuals in need.

We also ran a street outreach programme which currently involves going out on the streets on a Friday evening in groups to show care and love to people sleeping rough in the street and to provide basic essentials.

This is all evidenced through numbers of people that we have helped. We plan in the future to develop a Training and Learning programme and a drop-in centre/Cafe where people can meet and talk about their problems and we also plan to reach out to the sick.

Financial Review

Brief Statement of the Charity's Policy on Reserves:

It is the policy of RCCG-Cornerstone Church to hold in reserves the equivalent of two months general running costs. It is also our policy to hold an amount for likely outreach works at the next inspection. In view of the forthcoming street retreat next year we have allocated £1000 to reserves to cover our involvement. This policy will be reviewed in twelve month’s time apart from the Learning and training project element which will be reviewed in six months time when the situation is clearer.
