## Activities

**Purposes:** (1)	Encourage and promote the education and career development of people of all ages and backgrounds in the art and business of music performance, presentation, production and management by providing: (a)	training in music performance, songwriting, music technology, DJing, sound engineering and lighting, management and other related areas; (b)	equipment and facilities, including instruments and recording and rehearsal studios; (c)	opportunities for musicians, aspiring musicians and artists in related fields to engage in critical debate, share ideas and facilitate their professional development.  (2)	Promote arts and culture by: (a)	establishing and managing a Centre for Music as a cultural and social amenity; (b)	facilitating the presentation of concerts, performances and cultural exchange visits; (c)	encouraging appreciation of and participation in the art of music.
