Annual General Meeting

1. Introduction
The Chair thanked all those in attendance for their presence at the
Annual General Meeting followed by an introduction of proceedings
and those present.
2. Minutes
The minutes from the previous AGM were presented. These were
unanimously adopted by those present and entitled to vote.
3. Treasurer’s Report
Wilma Henderson presented the association’s accounts for the
year. She thanked Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, elected
representatives, and the attendees. Grants for the previous year
were listed as Community Support Grant, Festivals Grant, and the
Christmas Grant. The accounts had been examined by John
Belshaw. Wilma listed all fgures within the Income and
Expenditure with associated explanations. It was noted that the
accounts are available online for those who wish to scrutinise them
in further detail.
Paul asked with regards to the possibility of a savings or investment
account. The association will explore this further in advance of their
next meeting.
4. Chairperson’s Report
Kirsty McKeown presented the Chair’s report. She noted it had been
a quiet and dificult year due to the sad passing of founding
member, Stephanie. This was noted as a huge loss to her family,
the community,and the association. Kirstyafirmed the
associations’s commitment to honouring the memory of Stephanie
and other past members through continued work and dedication.
Congratulations were ofered to Sophie on her wedding.
Workshops, including textiles and wreath making, were noted as
having been hugely successful.
The Summer fete didn’t run last year due to reduced funding.
Christmas was a huge success with more stall holders and positive
feedback from throughout the village.
Engagement with NI Water is ongoing in respect of the bonfre.
The association extended thanks to LCCC for ongoing support,
funding, and training. Thanks were also extended to Anne from
Tesco, and to local councillors for always assisting no matter the
issue, big or small.
Thanks were extended to the PSNI.
The Chair highlighted the positive network of relationships locally
and the impact this had on a small community such as Stoneyford.
Thanks were extended to Joy for her dedication to the Village
Friends Group, which included learning to drive a minibus to
facilitate travel. Thanks were also extended to all members for their
continued support, work, and dedication.
5. Misc.
Alderman Tinsley echoed the sentiments of the Chair and
commended both the association and other elected members.
A question about the status of Neighbourhood Watch from an
attendee is to be referred to the association in email.
Members held a discussion around dog fouling at the reservoir and
issue with fy tipping including an abandoned motorcycle. Ald.
Tinsley will raise the issues around fy tipping with the appropriate
bodies.
6. Appointment of the Independent Examiner
The association appointed John Belshaw as independent examiner
for the coming fnancial year.
7. Election of the Committee
The following members were elected to the committee. Each
member was approved unanimously by those assembled and
entitled to vote.

He reflected on the history of the association and the effort that went into ensuring their continued presence and delivery.
