## Activities

**Purposes:** The Charity’s objects (“Objects”) are specifically restricted to the following:-  1.	To promote restorative justice and restorative practices for the public benefit in East Belfast as a means of peacefully addressing socially harmful activities and developing non-violent, innovative approaches to achieving justice within local communities by: (a)	designing, implementing and evaluating strategies and developing and influencing criminal justice policy and practice; (b)	assisting and co-ordinating the work of groups and organisations to enable them to embed the philosophy and practice of restorative justice and engage in restorative practices.  2.	To promote conflict transformation and capacity building for the public benefit in East Belfast and build and maintain social cohesion and trust within and between communities by: (a)	devising and delivering transformation and capacity building training programmes; (b)	encouraging and facilitating volunteering and active citizenship; (c)	promoting and supporting projects and initiatives that help to achieve these aims; (d)	engaging with, promoting co-operation among and establishing relationships and partnerships between groups, organisations and agencies in the community, voluntary and statutory sectors that have an interest in community safety.  3.	To advance in life and help young people to engage with their local community through the provision of support, training, counselling and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals.  4.	To provide and co-ordinate supportive interventions for victims of crime and anti-social behaviour.  5.	To promote such other charitable purposes as may time to time be determined.
