Nortb¢rn Ireland's general guidance on public benefit when reviewing our objectives and in
planning our future activities to ensure that these achiev¢ the association's purposes and provide a
benefit to its beneficiaries.

The Eme University of the Third Age is non-profit n￿kIng with a net income and resources in this
year of £4960. The truste¢s continue to manage resources in an efficient and sustainable manner.
Reserves Policy
Th¢ Erne University of the Third Age has a reserves Policy, which requires that reserves are built or
maintained at a level MFhich ensures that the organisation's core activities can continue during a
perlod of unforeseen difficulty and that the organisation's known liabilities will be paid should the
organisation cease to trade.
Future Plans
The Eme University of the Third Age plan to continue to focus on controlling costs while
maintaining the high standards of service to our beneficiaries.

The trustees are responsible for pr¢paTing the financial statements in accordance with applicable
law and regulations.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting r¢cords which disclose with reasonable
accuracy at any time the financial p)sition of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the
financiat statements comply with all appropriat¢ regulations. They are also responsible for
safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for tsking reasonable steps for the prevention and
detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Objeetives and activities
Objectives
To advance education and in particular the education of pcople not in full time employment who are
in their Third Agc residing in Fernr￿gh and the surnunding area.
Key Activities
October cornmenced with a relatively new con]mittee, we planned our general meeting speakers for
the coming year
We had our annual CbTiStmas dinn¢r followed by the Cbristmas f¢stiv¢ gen￿al meeting.
Speakers for the year included a representative from Fern* Policing and Community Safety
Partnership,a tall( on gard¢ning and bedding plants and spcakers from Connect FernwAagh and th¢
Aishling centre. We had an interesting visit to the Enniskillen Workhouse and had four well-
attended lunch tiEne gatherings in our local collage.
Our year programme concluded with a 4 day trip to Athlone ,a trip to Portugal and our annual lunch
and beach walk in Rossnowlagh.
