Trustses l Directors The trustees who served during the year are as follows.. Lorna Dane, Anne Mcmenamin, Rosemary Wlie, Jenny Scott, Edna Topping, Kathleen Young, Ena Browne, Margaret Mcclure, Pauleen Flanagan. Shirley Daubney, Ruth Armstrong and Jacquie Duffy. The Erno University of The Third Age is registered with the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland since 1810812016, under reference number NIC105152. BTT44FQ Objectives and Activities Objo¢tives To advance education and in particular the education of people not in fulltime employment who are in their Third Age residing in Femianagh and the surrounding area. Key Activities in this Year (June '21 to June '22> In September 2021 we started neNously back to our monthly meetings face to fa with social distancing, wearing face Masks and with the help of Zoom and Room (Hybrid Zoom). We were very grateful to Fermanagh House for their help with organising Zoom. We continued our monthly meetings with the help of Zoom and had many speakers, including Cain Mccaffrey from Corry's Chemist, Alison Forbes from the South West Age Partnership, Sharon Weir about Terracycle for Kicks Count, Decemberwe had Christmas Entertainment, we started 2022 with Alan Devers tsking us on a train journey from Enniskillen to Bundoran on Zoom with PowerPoint, Catherine Scott told us about the development of Enniskillen Workhouse. Eileen McGovern telling us about Health and Nutrition and finally Dessie Mc Kenzie talked to us about the Linnet Inn at Boho and the surrounding area. We also started some of our groups, Walking and Ambling began with social distancing and mask wearing, Poetry and Storytelling, Book Club and Genealogy started up again on Zoom. Choir was still not able to begin because of Covid. As the year progressed and restrictions were eased we started more groups, Craft, Yoga, Watercolour Painting and were delighted Choir started in February 2022.
The Erne University of The Third Age Trustees have considered Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's genefal guidance on public benefit when reviewing our objectives and in planning our future activities to ensure that these achieve the association's purposes and provide a benefit to beneficiaries. Financial Review Review of Business The Erne University of The Third Age Is non-profit making with net income and resources in this year of £7,880.58 The trustees continue to manage resources in an efficient and sustsinable manner. Reserves Policy The Erne University of The Third Age have a Reserves Policy, which requires thal reserves are built or maintained at a level which ensures that the organisations core activities could continue during a period of unforeseen difficulty and that the organisations known liabilities will be paid should the organisation cease to trade. Future Plans The Erne University of The Third Age plan to continue to focus on controlling costs, while maintaining the high standards of service to our beneficiaries. STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES for the year ended 3010612022 The Trustees are responsible for preparing the financial statements in accofdance with applicable law and regulations. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with all appropriate regulations. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
