To advance the education of people in the UK. Ireland and Internationally through projects and educational programmes. To advance such other charitable purposes as permitted by the Charitie5 Act (Northern Ireland) 2008- Part I, Section 2 Constitution The ¢harity is formally established under a Tryst Deed dated 5th September 1989. Main Actlvltles and Achlevements Durrng the year, the Club generated a total of £15.844 from a variety of sources, including £1.051 from members donations. £l.000 from a Ukralne appeal, £923 from the investment fund, £1,153 from Carol Singing at Tesco Northcott. and in excess of £8,000 from Global Giving project for The Children's Hospice Nl. Accountlng pollcles The following accounting policles have been applied consistently in dealing Wlth the charity's financial statements. Basis ol accounting Section 133 of the Charitles Act 2011 permits a charity to prepare a receipts and payments account and a statement of a55ets and liabilitie5 where gross income in the financial year doe5 not exceed £250,1Y)O, therefore receipts and payment5 accounts and a statement of liabilitie5 has been prepared and presented for the year ended 30 June 2022. All income. including grants and inve.stment income is recorded when received. All expenditure is recorded when paid. Gift aid reclaimable on donations is included in the amounts of income once received. Basls olvaluatign Investments are held at market value. Expenses No expenses were paid to an.y of the trustees during the year except to reimburse them for purchases made on behalf of the charity. Trustees, Indemnsty Insurance No charitable funds have been used to PLtrchase insurance to indemnify the Trustees against consequences of any neglect or default on their part. Fund Accountlng General funds are unrestricted funds which are available for use at the discretion of the Trustees In furtherance of the general objertives of the charity and which have not been designated for other pvrposes. Designated funds comprise unrestricted funds that have been set aside by the Trustees for partlcular purposes. General funds may be transferred to de5i8nate funds where trustees wish to use these funds for specific purpose. Such funds may be transferred back to general funds once the criteria for the designation have been met or are no longer applicable.
