Dear Trustees, 

On behalf of Orangefield Primary School, I would like to thank the Whinlands Trust for the donation of £7500 made in December 2022 (£6000) and May 2023 (£1500).  I also would like to extend my thanks to the trustees for the donation of £750 towards the story telling chair in memory of Mr Peter Greer. 

The budget crisis in schools continues to make it extremely difficult for school leaders to provide the same learning experiences for children as we would have in the past. This, coupled with the financial difficulties being faced by many families, is making provision beyond the classroom challenging to secure. The donations from the Whinlands trust are appreciated more now than ever before. 

Each year group at Orangefield Primary School applied for an allocation of funding to assist with a variety of extra provision to enhance their learning experiences.  The allocation of funding has ensured that every child in the school has had access to additional education training and recreation, in line with the Charity’s objectives. 

I wish to reiterate my thanks to the Whinlands committee for their ongoing work and commitment to Orangefield Primary School.  The partnership between the trust and school continues to enable our children to benefit through activities we would otherwise be unable to provide.  The parents are greatly appreciative of the financial support Whinlands provides for them.
