-
Engaging in activities which support and advance the education of the pupils attending the school, including fund-raising and after school activities or contribute to the education of the pupils by organising and assisting in fund raising activities.
-
Encouraging parental involvement in the life of the school.
-
Supporting the school.
-
Supporting each other as parents and
-
Providing advice and signposting when and where is necessary.
Having been paused due to school closures and restrictions around COV-ID, St Mary’s PTFA have reconvened this year and hope to expand in 2024/25. We hope to carry out a number of activities throughout the school year such as the table quiz in a premises. This will provide valuable funding for the PTFA and allows the PTFA to contribute to school charities, events and support projects such as books, instruments and equipment. We also hope to host an annual information evening for parents.
Parents are welcome to engage in school life especially if they can contribute to a particular area of school life. The PTFA will be represented at the Year 8 information evening in August where parents can register their interest in supporting the activities of the PTFA.
We currently have a very successful Uniform Recycling Shop which supports parents financially by providing low cost quality uniform items. We provide this valuable service as we feel it assists Parents financially; and ecologically it is beneficial to the ECO ethos of the school. The price of the uniform is a small donation. This is held once or twice a

year. We hope to fund the Action Cancer Big Bus to come to the surrounding area of St Mary’s. This service is available for teachers, parents and the wider community.
We continually receive the advice, respect and support of the School Principal Ms Denise Crawley and all the Teaching Staff.
Membership 22/23 : Corinna McCaughey (Teacher Representative), Ciara Jennings (Chairperson), Lisa Mulligan (Secretary), Noleen Cotter (Finance), Cathy Larkin and Leon O’Hanlon
We engage with Parents/Guardian via the school app. We are continually supported by the Principal Ms Crawley and the Teaching staff for which we would like to state a special word of thanks.
